  • cloud and SD card

    Two of my camera stop recording on the SD card after the update from few months ago. Finally gave up and tried the cloud recording. Keep saying that no video have been uploaded on to the cloud yet. Very frustrating.

    I love this app and find it useful but I just updated it today and wish I hadn’t. The review of the video used to be so easy and now I have to hunt for anything I am looking for. Wish I never updated

    BATE AND SWITCH. Previously able to view prior days recorded video on sd card. Yi has removed this in order to force paid subscription to their cloud service. New App version 4.4.0 absolutely destroyed the ability to playback recordings saved to SD cards. The ability to use SD cards (and not be forced to pay for cloud service) was the main reason I purchased five Yi cameras and have recommended Yi to others. I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND ANYONE PURCHASING YI HOME CAMERAS!!! I certainly hope this is a glitch in the App and it will be fixed as soon as possible. I don’t understand Yi’s quality control and how Yi could allow this App to be published. The only thing I can think of is that Yi is money hungry and forcing everyone to pay for Yi’s cloud service.

    The video won’t record and playback even though I have a card inserted. My old camera was able to record it for me to my card with no cloud subscription! This camera will show you screen shot of an action detected and prompt your to pay for a cloud storage.
  • Dual monitors to view 2 cameras not 4

    I’m in the process of trying the trial service of the dual cameras feature with the Yi Home Subscription and would like to instead of seeing 4 camera options would like to change that to 2. There does not seem to be a way to remove the other (+) options under the cameras I’m viewing. Please fix this so you can either add more cameras or remove cameras from the viewing option.
  • Can’t review video

    Whatever they did when they tried to update this app made it so you cannot review video on your SD card. This makes my cameras almost useless. I emailed support several times and no one can help fix this error. Everyone gives me the same advice which DOES NOT WORK. Used to be a good app, probably time to buy some new IP cameras.
