  • Flowkey: A Comprehensive Piano Learning App with a Few Caveats

This is an awesome app! Flowkey, unlike most of the piano apps you can find by just roaming the open space of your App Store, is not afraid to challenge you. It opens you up to chords and even introduces you to a songbook. There are also warmups and riffs depending on your style. Whether it’s rock n' roll, pop, disco, or classics, Flowkey has your back. 👍 One thing that’s a bit of a letdown, though, is that you have to pay extra for your favorite genre, like classical. As a fan of classical music, I found this disappointing. Accessing classical pieces, which are my favorite to play, requires a subscription, and that’s a drawback for those of us who love the genre. Despite this, Flowkey is an amazing app to share with your friends, kids, or if you’re just starting out. There are so many ways to improve! To make sure you get the most out of your practice, Flowkey provides a variety of tools and lessons that cater to different skill levels and musical preferences. Overall, Flowkey is a fantastic resource for learning the piano, but the additional cost for certain genres might be a consideration for some users.
  • Songs removed from the app without notice

I have been using flowkey for couple years to learn my favorite songs. I was learning “My Heart Will Go On” and had not finished it. Then one day found out that the song along with other songs I plan to learn were removed from the app without being informed in advance. Why would you invest money, time and energy to learn songs on this app that would be removed without notice? I will not subscribe to flowkey again.

Signed up for free trial then was charged $180 for premium full year. Uh hello maybe you shouldn’t automatically charge people for premium and a full year after their trial ends. Other apps do not do this. Update. The developer is trying to gaslight me
  • Disappointed in Apple and flowkey

It’s kinda cool but the free tutorials on YouTube are still much better. Also you can’t pause a song to view what chord is being played cause a megalith sized play button if right over everything on the screen. Also, apples stupid dynamic island gets in the way of some of the content as well. Thanks apple!

I like flowky, but sometimes the instructor goes too fast so that needs to be improved, but everything’s great.
  • Great app when working, customer service not responsive

We loved this app when it was working but after a couple of months had issues with logging in. After emailing customer service we received no reply and this issue remains unresolved although we paid for a full year.
  • Why did you raise monthly prices

So I like flowkey overall But they decided to move monthly prices. Look I get your trying to get people to invest in your yearly plans but 30$ for full access is just downright greedy. I would pay 20$ and still think that’s greedy. However I still payed for that plan. But 30$ is where I draw the line. Honesty I want your business to crunch the numbers now. Is raising 20$ to 30$ making you more money for a monthly plan? I bought the 20$ per month plan and got only classical songs I missed read and thought I would get some pop songs to play?! That 20$ plan isn’t even worth it. I’m canceling my subscription. Like I said you guys have a great app but this isn’t worth my money. You have to understand we live in a day and age where everything is subscription these days and paying 30 per month is just outrageous. And most people don’t want to pay a 130 plan for a yearly subscription. It would be one thing if you guys have a MASSIVE library of songs but you don’t yet. There is still a lot of songs needed. Sorry if I seem upset. But. I really like your app and it’s disappointing how my 20$ isn’t enough to you guys
  • Best for learning ;Not the best music selection

Hands down the Best app for learning how to play. The app shows you finger placement and will listen for your tune while playing. Only downside is that they don’t add new stuff often. When they do it’s old school pop/rock covers. I would love to see a suggestion box or a voting system in place to add new songs because there are sooo many beautiful beginner friendly classical pieces that are trending right now because of TikTok and it’s hard to find tutorials for them
