  • Can't add any videos to my library

I love this app. I really do! But about a month ago, the app started acting weird. I can no longer delete older videos from the cloud server to add newer ones to analyze on my iPad. However, I can still view them on my phone, which gets crowded when comparing videos. I've sent three emails to no avail. In its current state, I could not recommend this app.

Two biggest cons are the 1/1 videos never really are the right speed for some reason, and the biggest one is that there is no scroll when reviewing videos. It’s annoying to have to exit the video, unselect it, and then select the next videos to watch. Other than that it’s a great app for what it does.
  • Swing Profile a Game Changer

I have a home golf simulator, so I’m “working” on various things all the time. So I was using my iPhone’s camera to capture videos. That is crazy. It takes too long to setup, then you need to trigger the video before your swing, then stop the video, then go back and trim the video. By the time you are done, you are pretty well exhausted. And that was just one swing. You might not even have hit a decent shot and would prefer to forget the shot altogether. So I looked around for an app to help with recording my swing. Holy cow! Swing Profile makes all of that so easy. I setup an iPad on the down the line view, and my iPhone on the front view. I set the app in Replay mode and auto-swing detection. Then I go about hitting shots, practicing on the range, playing a round. Swing Profile records every shot (ok, it does not detect putts, and quiet chips. Do that manually if you really want them). And all of the recorded shots are automatically deleted from your devices in six days. Ok. But what if I wanted to permanently save a shot while I’m “working” out? Well, every time I hit a shot that is worthy of reviewing, I simply go to the iPad and iPhone and select the star button that identifies the swing as a favorite. Favorites will not get deleted unless you manually do so. After I’m all done with my golf session, both the iPad and the iPhone synch the favorites to the cloud. Why is that cool? Well because then I can see the front and down the line views on both iPad and iPhone. So then I can show both shots together on my phone or iPad. I quickly upgraded to the “Elite” subscription. That gives me 5GB in the cloud. Of course, you will want ample storage on whatever device you are recording swings. And I mean, a lot of storage, because it is so easy to record a session. Think like 10 or 20GB per device. You can manage with less, but that gives you an idea of how much you can use this app. In fact, over three months I completely filled up my cloud’s 5GB. I got excellent support from Swing Profile who helped me prune my “favorites” list. I mean, really, nobody needs that many favorite swings. But I have to admit, it is pretty interesting to see what my swing was 3 months ago vs. today. So yeah. If you want to record your swing, at least try this app. If you’re like me, you will be very impressed.

Cannot do a voiceover on SwingProfile Coach on iPad. When I press the microphone, it wants to maximize or minimize the screen.

Such a useful tool not only for the instructor but also the student! The student seeing the start line of the ball is very beneficial!

Practice sessions with Auto Replay give a detailed picture of every swing (like it or not). Many unexpected great features like the capability of sharing swings via email. Customer service couldn’t be better - developer Zeke Chan answers every question within minutes. Couldn’t be happier. Update several months later - practice with this software almost daily and still loving it! 240 fps videos in Auto Replay mode are amazing. Software support couldn’t be better (or faster).

  • Not for tall folks

At 6’6” and 225 lbs, the distance required to get into stated position for feet and head for app to work lead to many attempts for adjustments Then, swings were being given green light only to turn yellow upon start of takeaway After multiple tries I got only three swings caught and visibility was again lost as the club came above my shoulders Deleted app even after trying on every way from camera stand, to on the ground, to bunching rags/towels … turned vertical and horizontal with no success

It is not uncommon to have a problem with an app. For me, it is important to have responsive customer support. I sent an email asking for help. I had a response in less than 24 hours that solved my issue. Love the app for helping me improve my golf swing.
