If you’re getting this hoping it works for YouTube or Google with there horrible ad system don’t bother to get this. This app only works with safari.
  • Not functional. It does not give you a way to block ads in apps

Once you log on there is no way to make changes. Very disappointed I expected better from Norton

I’ve used this app for the past 3 years. It’s an okay blocker. I debated on giving 3 stars vs 2 and decided to go with 2 bc it misses all Google sign in prompts, all CNN ads, all Youtube ads, and 25-50% of other web ads. I still regularly get pop ups with it on. The Brave browser has a more effective pop up blocker but I use this one for Safari. If u use this app, check the Settings to maximize it’s effectiveness but be ready for a lot of disappointment. To be fair, no app seems to be able to block Google, except DuckDuckgo. To make a long story short, if you need a quick and easy blocker, this one works, kind-of. There are MUCH better blockers on the market. I use it because I trust Norton Security, altho their constant requests for me to purchase new services require a blocker of their own.
  • No longer functional

This app has been abandoned, and is no longer capable of blocking ads. Unfortunately, you’ll have to look elsewhere than the App Store. It seems that Apple is reluctant to allow any actually working ad blockers to be available on this platform.

I can’t do anything on the app, I can’t set my own settings, I’m not sure if it’s working. Too minimalist

This seemed to have no affect on blocking ads.
  • Does Not Work

This app is a big fail. Does not work despite doing everything recommended to block annoying ads. Try something else.
  • Unable to activate

The instructions about setting this app to function do not work. The content blocking setting for Safari does not even show any specific ad blocking app. It only shows an on-off toggle for blocking content, and it is on. Yet the app doesn’t even appear in order to set an active status nor does it show as grayed out. So I’m guessing this app is out of date or just not ready for market. I expect more from Norton. Sad.
  • Because it’s Norton

I have been searching and researching, trying to find a good, free blocker. I had a list going, recs from friends, etc. I saw this on my latest App Store search, started to read reviews after confirming overall star rating — and then paused. You see, I’m almost a senior citizen. I was starting to work the internet by actually writing articles to explain what the upcoming Internet actually was and how we hoped it would help our branch personnel. Yep, I’m that old. So, for me to pause my research, look again at the name, and say to myself, “Yeah, I’m done. Not even reading this stuff. I remember Norton and that’s what I’m getting…because it’s Norton.” I really did. I thought it and did it, just because it’s Norton. So, don’t let me down. Thanks! And a happy, healthy, prosperous new year to you all. - Valarie C
