Y’all ruined your own app

I don’t care for a.i. to make my content I used it cause it was simple, easy to use and I didn’t have to go through multiple steps to do a simple thing. This recent update is terrible and has made this app unusable.

I am sooo hurt about this Adobe! Like dang, i was using Adobe express on my iPhone as a very convenient way to import files into Illustrator for different projects on my iPad. I get on my phone this morning (April 25, 2024) to add some images to my current project and Adobe express is telling me there is a new version to try. That’s cool. I’m not tripping because it’s asking me to “Try it out, you’ll be able to return to the previous version.” Ok cool! So I’m looking around and it does seem super convenient and I almost went ahead and updated it, until I realized it said “ after you update you will not be able to go back to the previous version.” So I looked around the app a little more just to make sure that the feature that I was actually using it for was still available. AND OF COURSE the “Files” option was indeed there BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE PREMIUM VERSION to have access to it. So I went to the top of the screen where it gave me the option to either import my files from the old version and start using the new version OR go back to the previous version and “miss out on useing the new version “ I wanted to go back. It said “ to go back to the previous version restart the app” I did that. But now I’m stuck on this new version when that’s not what I selected to do, AND I don’t have access to the files that I had! Are you all trying to force people to pay for a premium subscription, for things that they already had access to without giving notice? Because if that’s not the intention and this is an error PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this.

The new version is so hard to use. The layers don’t make sense and it’s so difficult to move elements on the canvas

Got this around 6 months ago after my Adobe trials ran out, was much easier to use but this update killed it. -All of my locally saved projects on my phone have disappeared -The app is no longer available offline -It loads way slower -And (in standard Adobe fashion) they paywalled even more to where I feel like I’m playing Diablo Immortal. All I wanted was to add text over images so I could quickly make memes to share with friends and Adobe has ruined my fun as always. I would make a meme about how this makes me feel but the app won’t load Sincerely: a brand new internet pirate 🏴‍☠️

Last year, Adobe made changes to the app that everyone absolutely hated. It seems that after all the complaints, they changed it back. Now, here we are again. They have changed the app so much that it feels unusable! For starters, when you try to use Adobe stock photos…good luck! Almost every word that you type in the search will say, “Couldn’t find anything.” These are everyday words like holidays or “American flag” that would show thousands of pictures before the “update”. What were they thinking? If they don’t change it back, I will have to cancel my subscription and search elsewhere.

Give us the pior version back please this making me work so slow now that I can’t just double app on the picture to choose image to change it, and now I do it slow with all these pics with my watermark and the new version lags!!

This latest major update is a mess! The app is more difficult to navigate, all the simple features like cropping doesn’t even work properly anymore. Their AI is a mess and doesn’t work. They have stacked menus of items in the same category of other features which makes it impossible to find anything. Uninstalling for the first time since it was first introduced.

The updated messed everything up, like, everything.
