This app has changed my life, my cupboard and my bathroom shelves. It’s also really helped in a noticeable way with hormonal challenges my teenage daughter was experiencing.
  • Helpful but Misleading

    By Pat1010pat
Some products are list as “too sweet” with 6 mg sugar, while the suggested alternative has 8.5 mg sugar listed as “Low Sugar.” Many other examples of the same type of errors. Having said that, if you look at all parameters and not just the one rating, then it has a lot of value. I believe it is probably errors or bugs and not intentional misleading to direct you to favored products. ??
  • Only good for a very rough estimate

    By Rabbitwhole
This app assumes everyone wants to eat low calorie foods, and that all fats are bad - example: walnuts (nothing but raw walnuts) are flagged poorly for being too caloric and too fatty! Example two: Jackson’s AvocadoOil SweetPotatoChips SeaSalt are given a grade in the 30s out of 100. The app instead recommended I look for a potato chip with sunflower oil as a better option! Whaaat??? There are many other examples like these. Use as a rough estimate of healthiness of foods only. You cannot let this do the thinking for you, or you don’t know where you’ll end up.
  • YUKA = Consumer Empowerment! 🤩

    By smelleck
I love this app. Yuka takes the complexity out of “what’s not good for me” by explaining in clear terms the mysterious ingredients in our food & cosmetics products. Better still, it provides multiple alternatives to the bad stuff. Plus some of the UI is clever too (check search results for alcoholic beverages.) 🤣 The subscription is worth every penny for ease of use. I’m in there at least once a week and have already purged my home of 90% of the Bad stuff! Thanks, Yuka!
  • A must for any health-conscious consumer

I love this app- I use it every week, whether it’s at the grocery store, buying food, or at the drugstore, buying hair and face care. It’s made my life SO much easier, not having to strain with reading the tiny print of ingredients on so many products. Yuka does that for me, I don’t even need to TRY to pronounce all those long, (scary-sounding ) ingredients! What’s amazing to me is how some products, within the SAME company line, will be good or excellent, and some will be poor or bad. I tell all my friends about how great this app is, and they get as excited about it as I do. Kudos to Yuka for providing this wonderful service! Btw, I started with the free subscription but quickly bumped up to the paid one, so that I could search for products, not just scan ones that I already have in my hand. Well worth the upgrade.
  • Simplicity

We've been using Yuka to realize our 1950's dietary training was the pits!🤣 It's a factor in choosing the right foods and becoming more conscious of the things we took for granted. That Yuka provides alternative choices is the icing on the cake! Our 9yo grandson is enthralled with it and sadly has cleaned out my secret stash! I guess he loves me! Easy, precise, clear descriptions, Yuka rocks!
  • Add soy to preference list!

    By Retrosteampunker
If you can add soy to the preference list I would totally pay a yearly fee!!! I love this app but my intolerance is soy and it’s in freaking everything :(
  • Doesn't allow scan

    By DC0106
The scanning feature doesn't even work. Plus why have to pay search for food.
