I hate the trainer fights in this game, just spamming tap and not actually getting to use anything that requires skill is extremely annoying. will not be playing ever again
  • Best on the go game yet

This game is fun to play both indoor and outdoor. Building a team of Pokémon that you feel makes the team stronger is cool. It feels like just yesterday when one of my friends came up to me and said hey you play Pokémon and I’m like you know what yes in fact let me add you and share theories about the evolution lines etc.
  • Gotten worse over time

The game was great when it came out years ago. But now it’s gotten way worse. The game peaked when they introduced the remote raid passes, especially during the Covid era. But now, Niantic has been reading the prices on the passes, exclusive raids the remote raid passes can’t be used on, and now, from where I live at currently, it’s hard for me to even attend a single raid, especially 5-6 star raids. I know is frowned upon, but that’s the reason why multiple people use third-party apps to spoof their locations, so that there can enjoy the game to the extent.
  • The Badge Types

I love this game. I’ve been playing it for about three years now and have had no problems. My only criticism about the game is the new update for the badges. The new ones look bad and I can barely tell or see what the type is. The green looks like a shiny booger and the old ones look better. They gave it a distinctive look with its color. I would like it if the old badges came back. Thank you for your time and I hope you consider my review.
  • Fun but a little off

This is a great game and fun to play. However, I've noticed that there are some legendary Pokémon that the game isn't recognizing as a legendary even with there being movies and games on them as legendary Pokémon like Zorua and Zoruark. I love all the mix Pokémon generations makes it more fun but it would be nice to be able to catch more legendary Pokémon in the wild or as a part of a special research task so everyone no matter where they are can have a better chance to find and catch legendaries along with the other Pokémon. Just a suggestion and food for thought.

Game is always super glitchy especially during raids. Niantic knows this and refuses to do much about it. I got kicked out a remote raid and when I asked customer support for my raid pass back they pretty much called me a liar and didn’t give me a pass back. While writing this review I wanna mention the hoenn tour. This game has outrageous expections you had to do about 6 raids to primal evolve and that’s not accessible to everyone. Along with that comes the remote raid pass nerf. 195 coins for a remote raid pass is outrageous, and the max coins you can receive per day is 50 and all my Pokémon die in one die so if im lucky, it would take 4 days to get a remote raid pass. Along with that is the fact kids cannot drive so get a legendary and how about if a user lives in a suburban area. On the twitter tag “#hearusNiantic” Niantic responded by saying they will not listen to trainers and will not be reverting the changes. Niantic doesn’t listen to their users and they are just trying to make the game bad. Another thing I want to mention, April was Pokémon Go’s worst profiting month in 5 years. Thank you for reading this and I hope Niantic makes some changes to this game that’s going on a bad track.
  • Remote passes

Game is great and a lot of fun. The biggest mistake was upping the price on remote pass. I spent a lot more money when the passes were 1$. Have spent any money since then.
  • They are trying to do right by Pokemon

So in the past I’ve left scathing reviews because of how Niantic handled a bunch of things, but honestly at this point I think they’ve done well apologizing. They gave us masterballs to make up for legendary bird catch rates and they are bringing out lake guardians and legendary birds for raids. They reduced remote raids sure but they rolled out a bunch of new stuff including pokemon, shinies and shadow raids. The leagues are tedious but even if you lose every battle you get 10k stardust. They’ve made a lot of mistakes, but they’ve apologized a lot too. While this game isn’t perfect I think it’s genuinely good and I think it’s worth giving them a chance and just trying to enjoy the game for what it is.
