Nintendo’s take on an Action RPG. Levels (quests) are short and sweet. The developers are VERY responsive to player feedback and react quickly with updates. The one-hand controls are effective and dodging feels rewarding. Combat is fairly deep in that you can’t simply hack and slash to success and you find out pretty quickly which weapons fit your play style. Loot is not hard to find as long as you venture to the 2-4 extra paths each level provides. You can allow the game to optimize gear and parties based on the quest, or you can choose to do the customizations yourself for extra depth. The game has passive talents as well as active abilities for each character that are necessary for success. If you want to spend money on this game, expect to shell out $8-$20+ as the packages are more expensive than other Nintendo apps I’ve played. I bought only the $8 starter pack and have gathered a solid collection of 5 star adventurers and dragons from simply playing daily. Multiplayer is more than simply lending a computer character to someone else — you can actually play with other people in real time. Multiplayer raids are addictive and you’ll notice a clear difference between groups who know what they are doing during raids and those who don’t. The music is catchy in that Japanese candy shop sort of way. Overall, a successful ARPG that can be played effectively regardless of amount of cash spent on the experience. Reasons this isn’t a 5 Star review - the castle (your home base) has pretty minimal functioning other than providing little amounts of resources and small buffs to your adventurers. I wish there was some kind of “base defense” scenario where you’re tasked with using adventurers/buildings to fight off attackers - the game is very grind-heavy and the player can feel it, especially if you aren’t excited about leveling the stats and items of any specific character, be ready to repeat the same quests a lot - quests don’t contain any puzzle elements, or any elements other than combat for that matter - it’s much quicker starting a multiplayer quest by joining someone else’s lobby than it is to host one yourself, yet joining other players uses a resource that does not replenish over time

Hello dragalia team, Here is my review for this game. I have played this game for over 2 weeks now First of everything is smooth and good. I love the characters, dragons and the music of this game. But I’m only giving it 3 star because 1.) The summon rate for 5* characters and 5* dragons are so low even during events where some of the 5* dragon and character have their rate increase. Although there is the ten-fold summon to guarantee 4* and above the summon rate is still too low to be honest because besides the dragon and character in the summoning you also have Wyrmprints which you will most likely get when doing the ten-fold summon. I for one is frustrated about this and experience it, because during my time of playing I have save up at least enough Wyrmite to do 5x ten-fold summon at least 3 times during the 2+ weeks I played and not a single 5* hero character or 5* dragon, all I get are Wyrmprints a BUNCH OF WYRMPRINTS which I cant even use on all my characters. There are other players that would agree with me here. Solution- I would suggest making a separate summoning for Wyrmprints because there are more Wyrmprints then there are heroes and dragons combine. 2.) The controls for the character is horrendous 😭 it would be great if we can play this game in landscape mode and have a movement stick on left side and attack button on right side for mobile because tapping, sliding and moving your character with just ONE finger is tiring if you’re playing it the whole time. 3.) The AI for your other characters that help you in the game is so bad. When I say bad I meant it for instance when I solo quest I always find that range characters like archers, mage, and healers don’t dodge enemy’s range attack or any other attack that shows the red flashing attack sequence of monster and just stands there waiting to get one shotted and die instantly or barely survive and get status condition. Which makes it hard to get 3 endeavors for quest like when you’re challenging a BOSS. Another thing is the attack sequence for warriors and some class I find that when an enemy is fully knock down it seems that you’re not able to damage the enemies which doesn’t make sense. Also another problem with the attack sequence for your helping characters is when they’re finish doing an attack pattern I find that they stand there for a good 1-2 seconds near the enemy before attacking again instead of attacking immediately as soon as there finish with their attacking pattern. Hopefully you guys could fix this part. Yes this game is base mostly on co-op mode but there are instance where you have to do solo mode so you can save your skip tickets or wings to play harder modes with other players. An example of what I’m talking about is this recent Halloween event, most of it you have to solo and it’s hard to get the 3 endeavors when your helping characters don’t dodge the boss attacks and immediately dies.

I’ve played this game for three weeks since it’s release and I can say for certain it is the best game of its genre. The polish and attention that was put into this game is astounding and should be a shining example to all other games out there. The UI is so easy to use and packed with functionality. Example: on any screen long press and icon and it will take you to that items full details. The character design is wonderfully deep. Each character has a back story that is thoughtfully detailed. The gameplay itself feels expertly refined. And, unlike most other “Gotcha’” type games, the lower tier characters aren’t unusable. They can hold their own in your team no matter what level of content you are tackling. Plus, there is a system to raise their tier that isn’t super expensive. On top of that, the game is very free-to-play friendly. The developers are very generous with the premium currency that is earned in game so you will have plenty of chances to get new adventurers, dragons, and wyrmprints. Lastly, the first raid event just ended and the Halloween on just started today. These story events are very fun and they bring with them new characters to earn and collect. Again, the developers are very generous with the event offerings. I can’t recommend this game highly enough. If you are a fan of this type game, Nintendo, or cute characters you should try this game.

Really impressed with the cinematic value that this app brings. I am finding that, even though the story isn’t the strongest so far, I am really drawn in! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an off beat JRPG style mobile game!

So, First of all, the graphics are pretty good, and I love the character and dragon designs. Secondly, the story is great, and I enjoy the castle building aspect.

I played a few gachas before, some lasted me over a year; this will not be one of them. My biggest complaint is the summoning system itself. Not only are 5* rates low enough, they combined three categories into one summon pool. Every gacha game I played has an area where you summon units usually with a choice of 1 or 10 at once, very standard. Items, accessories, etc. normally have there own place to be summoned and at a lower cost than the units. This game consists of adventurers, wyrmprints, and dragons...ALL CLUMPED TOGETHER. Imagine the frustration of getting nothing but wyrmprints and one or two 3* duped units? I played this at launch and I already had a hunch this is a bad idea. Having good units is important to build up might, which is necessary to grind harder content. Obviously 5* have skills and attributes that outclass 4* and below. Most would save their resources and pour it all on 5*, why waste it on weaker units. But good luck getting them. Maybe some players got the units but no dragons and wyrmprints to buff them up. Hackers, they are everywhere, lurking about in high lvl single player missions. Some just don’t care and destroy everything in co-op. Im sure Nintendo and Criware are trying to stop them, but we know they’re still playing while sitting on the 10k might throne. Even if they stop cheating, their accounts are miles ahead of honest players, and that makes me mad. I love the effort they put into every character and event. Just fix up the summoning system and I’m sure I’ll play this game for much longer.

I tried playing it for 1 whole day just cuz my friend wanted me to try it. The gameplay is “ok”. Nothing special, I personally prefer to play a pc/console game in this genre though. The gacha rate is horrendous (what a surprise!). The only part I liked about the game was the music. Everything else felt rather bland and just from 1 day of playing, I can tell it’s not something I’m gonna continue to play
  • An excellent rpg

While the story may not be much to write home about (I’m still on chapter 1 so my opinion may change) the gameplay and controls are perfect for an action-oriented combat style on a mobile device. I’m very picky when it comes to combat styles on mobile and this feels just right to me. Thank you Nintendo for delivering another awesome game on iOS.
