This used to be a fun game but always too time consuming. Now they just keep adding more and more time consuming content. So as long as you have about 6 hours a day to play you might stay competitive.

Between graphics, action, and story delivery it’s very fun. Also enjoying the evenly paced level progression. Don’t have to spend 5 hours on a level up, but not so easy that the game becomes boring.
  • You have to pay for everything

It costs in-game currency to do everything in order to progress. The in-game currency is called silver. It costs silver to summon characters, it costs silver to level up characters, it costs silver to level up characters skills, it costs silver to upgrade gear, and while it doesn’t cost silver to equip gear, it costs HEAPS of silver to unequip gear from characters. It costs so much silver to buy an upgrade that won’t even affect your characters that much. They make it so difficult to progress without making in-app purchases, which they constantly shove in your face. Every time you come back to the main screen from playing a campaign mission or something, there’s a prompt for at least a $30 in-app purchase. The PvP isn’t balanced either. Your team can have a power rating of 11,000 like mine did, and lose to a team of two characters with a power rating of half of that. There are better games with the same fantasy setting and less promotion of in-app purchases. You’d be better off playing those instead. I gave two stars because I respect the effort they put into disguising this scam.

Admittedly, it is a fun game with good graphics. Probably some of the best graphics for a mobile game out there. However, all of the incessant pop-ups to sell you in game purchases ruin the gameplay. Every time you go into an area of the game and back out, there is at least one maybe two pop-ups offering to sell you something out of the store. In between that and all of the pop-ups, you have to navigate every time you start the game up, the flow of the game is ruined. And these aren’t inexpensive purchases either. As other reviewers have noted, you can play without buying anything, but your progress will be completely stifled and the game will get boring within 30 days if not less. On the other hand, you can spend easily $300 in a week because anything worth buying is $30 or more in price. There are better games out there for the money they want you to spend. Most of them are on consoles and our one time purchases. If you want to do some gaming, I would recommend one of those. If you’re looking for a mobile game just to kill some time while you’re sitting in waiting room at the doctors office, look elsewhere.
