Tried to cancel my subscription when they dropped history on fire. I literally am not able to - tried the app, it said to go to the website. tried the website, logged in and it said I wasn’t subscribed. Then they charged me a few weeks later for a yearly subscription. No contact email address that I could find. I decided to let it go and mess with it before the next yearly subscription charge. Here I am a year later trying to do the same thing, still can’t find a way to cancel my subscription. It’s pretty rotten when companies use tactics like this….making it next to impossible to cancel your subscription. Zero stars.

I originally joined to listen to Russell Brand’s show and I have found a cornucopia of shows to entertain and challenge my world views. I hope that if you decide to try Luminary that you take up the challenge and subscribe to ONE podcast that runs counter to what you believe. You might be pleasantly surprised by your choice.

I love the content these folks have but the app is plagued by issues. It's overall difficult to navigate, it's not particularly customizable (if you're used to selecting playback options from apps like e.g. Overcast), it NEVER resumes from being paused successfully (pro tip: rewind 10 seconds and most of the time that's enough to encourage it to resume playing), the car controls skip the entire episode instead of forward or backward by seek times (defeating the purpose of hands free), it constantly tries to play literally anything other than the series I'm listening to, and so on. It's enough that I may not renew my subscription. I REALLY hope they invest some time and energy in this thing

Even if I wanted to give these idiots money for a couple 30 min episodes (that might not load properly or be available in a year or two), it’s not worth the headache to get this set up. Guess they will probably sell my info tho since I had to sign up for an account to find out it’s garbage

App says to go to website, website redirects to Apple Podcast. Finally through dumb luck got to website and it’s a ghost town. I’m signed in, go to Account, Manage Subscription and there’s precisely zero information. Big goose egg. Like no acknowledgement that I even have an account, other than the fact that I have a username. Am I missing something? Is the site still in service? Help! Just floating around the ether taking money.

I’ve been off luminary for many months now bc every time I decide I want to try again Facebook won’t let me login I get a repeated error. I’ve tried to change my password to o avail bc it prompts me to use the third party login (which for obvious reasons I can not.) disappointing when I’ve paid for a year subscription but never really even been able to use it.

Podcasts will sometimes not load, and have to close the app and restart to get it to work. Same thing for podcasts I come back to, even when I pause for a few minutes, I’ll need to shut down the app. Podcasts also can freeze in the middle and I can’t continue them even after shutting down the app. This happens on the web app as well.. I just don’t go back to these shows when this happens. Also don't know why I can’t access my podcast queue unless I’m already playing something. There should be a way to access this next to downloads or something like that.

I love the content and support the artists decision to make it exclusive. Where did the No fest of time album go? It appears to have been removed!

I’ve submitted a complaint a long time ago with a snapshot of the issues that’s been going on for months and still have no response. I can no longer log in through Facebook and had to cancel my subscription. Why should I pay for an app that I can not log into. I should not have to make a whole new account to do so. Facebook has a message saying that the developers are aware of the issues……what’s the deal!?
