Description

Carbon Diet Coach is your solution for results that LAST. Whether your goal is to lose fat, build muscle, improve your metabolism, or simply maintain your weight, Carbon Diet Coach removes the guesswork. Carbon Diet Coach is a science-based nutrition app designed by renowned nutrition coaches Dr. Layne Norton (Ph.D. Nutritional Sciences), Holly Baxter (MS Dietetics), and Registered Dietitian Keith Kraker (BS Dietetics). It does everything a normal nutrition coach would but at a fraction of the cost. Simply select your goal, answer a few short questions, and it does the rest! You will get a customized nutrition plan based on YOUR goals and metabolism. What's more, Carbon will adjust the plan as you progress to optimize your results. If you hit a plateau or stall, Carbon will make adjustments to keep you progressing towards your goal, just like any good coach would. Our coaching system uses the latest techniques in nutrition science to make sure you get the best results possible. All you need to do is follow these simple steps: ∙ Log your food using the built-in food tracker ∙ Log your body weight ∙ Check-in each week Do that and Carbon does the rest! Carbon Diet Coach can do things other nutrition coaching apps can’t do. For example, your nutrition plan can be tailored to your diet preference: ∙ Balanced ∙ Low Carb ∙ Low Fat ∙ Ketogenic ∙ Plant-Based Each setting is completely customizable so that you receive a plan that is sustainable for YOU! Another feature that makes Carbon unique is the diet planner. Want high and low-calorie days rather than eating the same foods every day? Use the diet planner to set up your week and stay on track. Overate on one day and not sure what to do with your nutrition plan for the rest of the week? Adjust the diet planner to account for what you overate and Carbon does the rest! Other coaching features include: ∙ Adjustable check-in days ∙ Check-in explanations so you're never left wondering why the app did or didn’t make a change ∙ Check-in history so you can look back and see why the app made various adjustments ∙ Charts showing your weight, body fat, lean body mass, calorie intake, protein intake, carbohydrate intake, fat intake, and metabolic rate ∙ Early check-in feature for those who can’t always check in on their specified day ∙ Goal tracker so you can see the progress you’ve made and how close you are to your goal ∙ Recommendations after you reach a goal so you can plan for what's next and KEEP your results Already know what you are doing with nutrition and don’t need Carbon to coach you? No problem, you can enter your nutrition targets and simply use the food tracker. Beyond the amazing coaching features of this app is a food tracker that's excellent in its own right. Its features include: ∙ A huge food database ∙ Barcode scanner ∙ Quick add macros ∙ Copy meals ∙ Favorite foods ∙ Create custom foods ∙ Create custom recipes No matter what your goal is, Carbon Diet Coach is your solution. • Very basic and not worth the $$$

I’m a big fitness enthusiast. I was looking for an app that would help me lean out a bit. With this app, all it is is a macro counter, which you can easily find elsewhere for free. It doesn’t have an option to log snacks (everything has to be tacked onto a meal, which is silly), there’s no allowances for exercise (if I workout for 90 minutes I’m going to require more calorically than if I’m sedentary), and the app struggled with scanning barcodes that were easily deciphered by my other food tracking app. I hate that you can’t trial this app without spending $10 first. Also, there’s no “coaching”, or any suggestions regarding food - it literally just tracks your recommended macros. I feel ripped off.
  • Loving it after week 1

I was sick of MyFitnessPal hiding my macros in some deep setting part of the app. I purchased this after a friend had lost 30 lbs in 4 months. After one week I absolutely love it! Don’t expect the library of MyFitnessPal though. Plus I don’t mind adding my own macros and micros into the app. Makes it so easy to keep my food intake top of mind and move on with my day. I’m adorn four pounds this first week which is more than I wanted to lose so I’m assuming the coach will have me up my calories to stop be from losing an unhealthy amount of weight but I love it. Worth the subscription in my eyes.
  • Super Disappointing

This app is not any different than any other food tracking app. In fact the database of foods is actually smaller. I thought the coaching piece would actually provide solid feedback and give me tips and tricks. Nope, every week it just tells me that it’s disappointed. Doesn’t actually provide ways to help (I.e. like how the **** to get 141 grams of protein per day). It had me on 1400 calories a day and then when I lost only 4 lbs in 4 weeks knocked me down to 1300 calories! It’s definitely not worth the cost. My experience has been very bad and will be seeking a refund.
  • Awful refund policy

Asked for a refund after giving a legitimate reason. Got “ We can’t process your refund” back without explanation. Would not recommend it. Scam!

It is my fitness pal without the massive database of food and a hefty price tag of $10/month with no free trial so had to pay $10 just to find out it’s a subpar MFP with a cost.

I’ve followed Layne online for a few years now and have looked forward to this app and I have not been disappointed. It is intuitive, easy to navigate and in app coaching is helpful. I’ve hired other diet coaches and never made as much progress as quickly as I have with carbon. Worth the investment.

If you are trying to shed bodyfat and don’t have this app, get it! It has a huge amount of useful features and is no nonsense in how it helps you plot your path forward.
  • Where has this been all my life?!

Carbon diet coach is soooo insanely flexible and unrestrictive compared to other methods of macro counting. This week I had birthday cake and ice-cream with my daughter, pizza for a party at work, and a Wendy’s combo meal when traveling, and I still met my weekly weight loss goal. Carbon diet coach made it easy to adjust my macros around each of these events and still come out in a calorie deficit. Try it! After your first 3 compliant weeks, you will be addicted!!!

A coach that adjusts your macros based on your goals and needs AND includes a built in tracker for $10!?! Best deal in the nutrition biz.
  • The basics

I’m not sure why they charge so much when things like remembering what I ate for breakfast doesn’t automatically appear the next day. The UI looks outdated and doesn’t track my workouts. Those are the basics that it’s missing for sure. Have had for a week so I’m going to see if there are any other change coming up before I cancel.
