Been looking for something focused on just tracking my expenses. Very easy to use providing valuable insight. Other apps out there with too many unnecessary bells and whistles. This just plain works!

If you’ve ever asked the question, “Where did all my money go?” this app might be for you. I’ve tried to force myself to use budgeting / finance apps like Mint in the past, but found the auto-categorization of charges so annoying that I ultimately ditched them. This app is simple. You have to manually categorize all expenses, and you’re encouraged to do so daily. It’s like the financial form of a “food journal” - you’re forced to face the reality of daily spending in a really tangible way.

I’ve tried Mint, YNAB, and others and always feel they are too complex and/or annoy me with unwanted features or ads. Definitely room for improvement, but I love the simplicity and ease-of-use of Pennywise.

I’ve used many expense trackers over the years: Mint, YNAB, ..., but none of them worked for me. This app notifies me once a day to categorise transactions, and makes it really easy to keep an overview of where I spent my money. I love it so far and am telling all my friends about it.
