Description

Great photos are everywhere you look, and inspiration can come at any time. With ON1 Mobile you can capture, edit, and organize on the go. The camera captures pro-grade raw format photos with all the manual controls you need. You can edit anywhere too; adjust color and tone using the same raw processing engine as ON1 Photo RAW. With ON1 360, an optional service, when you return home your photos and non-destructive edits are waiting for you inside ON1 Photo RAW. CAMERA Powerful camera mode that works like your device's camera app. It’s familiar to use but chock-full of advanced features. Capture RAW photos on your smartphone with all the tonal range and details you expect from an interchangeable lens camera. Pro-level manual control over exposure, shutter speed, depth and white balance. EDIT ANYTIME You can process your RAW photos you capture on your device as well as ones you import from an attached interchangeable lens camera, hard drive or memory card. This includes options like Exposure, Contrast, Shadows, Midtones, Highlights, Whites, Blacks, White Balance, Noise and Sharpening. Crop your photos to zoom-in and recompose. Adjustments beyond the basics of brightness and color. You can convert to black and white, add film grain, darken the edges with a vignette, etc. With ON1 360, you can even edit photos that live on your other devices, like your desktop computer, even when you are not at home. The edits are non-destructive and are synchronized to all your devices. RAW photos you capture and edit in the ON1 Mobile app on your smartphone are re-editable on any of your computers as well. You can view and change the metadata from any device as well. This enables you to do your culling (marking your favorites and getting rid of bad frames) from anywhere, like the couch in the living room, the coffee shop or the patio. And of course your metadata changes are synchronized to all your devices. YOUR PHOTOS EVERYWHERE - ON1 360 With ON1 360, an optional service, you can view photos from any of your devices on all your devices. For example, view photos on your desktop computer on your tablet or smartphone. You can send full-sized original photos from one device to another. For example, send every new photo you take on your smartphone back to a designated computer. Or manually select which photos to send. You can browse the way you are used to. The photos are organized by device and then the folders or albums you store your photos in. If you organize by folders, you can browse by folders. Keep a portfolio of your best work on your phone or tablet to share easily.

I’ve been looking for an app that can edit the RAW file from two cameras I have and this is the first one I have found. This is my new photo editing app on my iPad Pro. Now if you could add the ability to view EXIF data and the ability to resize images on export. Please.

I was pretty excited about this app, but compared to Lightroom mobile it is fairly primitive. The filters that are available are minimal, although I understand more will be added by this fall, as well as the ability to make local adjustments. I initially had some connectivity issues related to the inability of ON1 360 to recognize my account, which seem to have been resolved by ON1’s tech supported. But I am not thrilled with the interface on my iPad, and I am having a problem with a black box that sometimes obscures part of the photo that I am working on. It’s maybe not fair to compare this app with Lightroom’s more mature product, but I don’t think I will continue with ON1 until they add more features and work out some of the kinks.
  • Good editor, poor organizer

The app delivers on its promise to bring the ON1 editing engine to mobile and iPad, but that’s the extent of the good news. The overall UI needs work and the way photos are organized is poor. Unless I missed something, libraries cannot be sorted, there is no search function, and meta data editing is absent. There is no way I’d want “all my photos with me” because there’s no way to reasonably find specific ones like I can in Lightroom or Mylio. I also found the sync engine a bit slow, but that could be launch pains. If your goal is to sync with ON1 Photo Raw and manage a limited number of photos (or you photos are managed as projects), this definitely could work for you. If your photos are more random or you use searches to surface memories, this isn’t going to be your solution.

I never write reviews but this app is amazing I just have to give them props, it is simple and straight to the point. I have been using ON1 desktop application for many years, FINALLY a mobile version is here! I look forward to the evolution and I can’t wait until local adjustments are added.

ON1 has really outdone themselves with this one. So simple to use and beautifully integrates with the desktop application.

I am intermediate skilled photographer. With this app I am finally able to marry my desktop and laptop with my iPad. It is simply and easy to use, carrying ON1’s raw processing engine with me everywhere is a real game changer.
