Tried to open the app to search a plant and you have to pay for any sort of use of the app. Too expensive for information that you can google for free. ✌🏻

I’ve liked this app and been using it to remind me to water my plants for a few years now. It is handy, but I have a hard time believing the app is getting enough new features to warrant the 350% price increase for the annual membership that I just received news of via email. An increase is to be expected every now and then as inflation is part of the current economy, but a 350% increase over last year seems extreme.

Since the newest Apple update, this app now keeps crashing every time I try to open it. Unless this is fixed soon, I’m going to cancel my subscription and find another gardening app.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve had this app for 4 years, PAID for it for 3, and now all of a sudden I can’t even use it without paying $20 a MONTH for it??? EASY UNINSTALL. Greed is a curse and I hope you come to your senses.

Honestly the app isn’t too bad. Being charged when I wasn’t supposed to be is though. Awful.

I have had this app for a year and a half. I’ve loved it as I’m a big fan of all things The Spruce. But super disappointed as I logged in the other night and it’s now forcing you to join a paid membership…either monthly or yearly. I always used it to help me track my plants in general, I never used any of the other perks bc quite often it was incorrect. But I looked past that bc I liked the app as a whole. No longer after the attempted money grab. Back to the drawing board to find a reliable app…

X5 price increase for something I can write down and for those reasons, I’m out

I signed up for a free version of this app and they are secretly charging me in the background. They make it hard to delete. Not worth it.

The price of this app just skyrocketed and for what? And of course I never saw the email so was just charged $77. Nothing in this app is worth that much. The “premium plus” plan is only $30 a year so why would the “basic” package cost more? My subscription will never be renewing. What’s even more interesting, is that when you go to plan options the same plan that I was charged for still has options for $20 (what I was paying) and $10 yearly, and as far as I can tell their is absolutely no difference between them. That is what makes me the angriest. The app is a ripoff and I honestly believe they are just trying to pull a fast one on many people like me, because let’s face it, in todays world you get an email for everything and some are bound to slip through the cracks.

I have used and LOVED this app for 2 years and was happy to pay $19.99/yr for it. However, I just received an email that the price will be increasing to $69.99 when my subscription renews in May. Very disappointing to be told the price will be going up to 3.5 times the current cost with absolutely no explanation why. A 350% price increase??? My subscription won’t renew at that price because I just canceled it.
