Decent Questions. I really like the overall layout of the app and ease of use however the quizzes are glitchy. I keep taking 10 question quizzes and it scores only 8 or 9 questions.

This app is very misleading with its questions and contradictory answers. I’ve held my NREMT since 2017 and let it lapse in 2023. I’ve worked on a box and on an engine at one of the busiest departments in the nation. The questions you get contradict what the book says. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking to pass the NREMT. I do not have screen shots of the contradictions. Because i was too mad to even continue using. I canceled my subscription. All you get is tests with this. They do offer an explanation which sometimes doesn’t even explain why what you chose was wrong. There is not really a WHY behind it. If they offered sections from the book to actually study with, this app would be beneficial. However it’s just tests that sometimes contradict what the book says and field experiences tell. I hope you fix this. Thanks

Used this app, in combination with my class notes and textbook, to get in the habit of answering questions in a testing format. Passed NREMT first go, and contribute a lot of that to pocket prep.

I passed my NREMT about a week ago after using almost exclusively pocket prep for 3 weeks to study. At first I was skeptical about the price of a subscription but it is well worth it. The mock exams really helped me get used to how going into the real thing would feel. The questions are very similar to ones you would see on the actual test. I really appreciate the explanations of answers, they helped me actually comprehend answers rather than just memorizing. Highly recommend m.
  • Has wrong answers listed as correct.

Allot of the answers seem to help but I’ve found several questions that have the wrong answer in the AEMT section. For example I had one that said an Avulsion was an Amputation… an Avulsion is a flap of skin that’s hanging on. Other ones the answers will say the newborn PT had 70bpm and then when you go to answer the explanation is saying the pt had <60 bpm which has two different protocols. Some of the app is pretty good, but I’ve seen several like this that just end up making you frustrated and like your studying the wrong stuff.

I’ll start by saying I passed first try, and it was thanks to EMT Pocket Prep! This app challenged me a lot more than the other study apps I tried, and I mean that in a good way. The app is very user friendly, and laid out well. You can use phone or tablet, and they even have a computer website based version (not to mention all the progress syncs for your account)! The data info really helps you see what categories you may need to focus on more than the others, and helps you keep track of your progress. You can even create custom quizzes for either all categories or specific ones, and you can choose unanswered, answered, flagged, and/or incorrect answered questions on the quiz. Pricing for premium, in my opinion, is very good for what it’s worth and what you get out of it. Definitely worth giving it a try!

So far I love this app. I can bust out a quiz any time I get the chance. Very convenient and helpful.

Just on other one writing a review. I had purchased the one month subscription and took all 500 questions and multiple quizzes many times. And I ended up passing the exam. I have this app to thank for that. I do recommend. If you are on the fence about it, just go ahead and try it out. Absolutely would recommend to anyone needing help.
