I like pretty much everything about it, but would appreciate a full Liquid Glass UI refresh. Otherwise, happy to have purchased it. Love the company and the history they have with Apple.

Overnights, the developers website went down and the app is unusable as long as their website is down. Can’t even submit a support ticket because it’s handled through their website. This app should be standalone and zero reason why it’s dependent on their host website. As long as the website is down, this app is dead and a waste of a subscription. I’ll be opening a dispute with Apple to get this months money back.

Outages. They happen. Just... Prompt and Panic as a company have been so good for so long that I'm just.... confused!

They tell you you are buying both iOS and Mac. No try to install the Mac app and you pay again. Or worse “subscribe”.

Prompt 3 used to look good and function well but overtime the team developing it has stopped putting in effort. Instead of embracing iPadOS UI elements, they have been avoiding them which is causing major usability issues. UI elements collide with traffic light window controls, something almost all other apps avoid. Top bar looks terrible as a “fix” but the fix is unreliable. I pay for this… Developer charges a subscription for an app that doesn’t see major updates ever.

Updates remove your items if you don’t pay for premium.

Downloaded, connected to a host. Ctrl key appeared pressed, even though it wasn’t. Tapping didn’t do anything. Eventually managed to disconnect. Left app, came back, now it crashes immediately every launch. Panic’s software is usually great, but this app needs more time in the lab.

I used to use and love Prompt years ago, but for me, the only real differentiator in version 3 is the Vision Pro spatial environment (which is genuinely very cool). Beyond that, I’ve run into several issues: I’m unable to connect to many servers that work perfectly with other SSH apps I use regularly, there’s no full Nerd Font installed by default, and in some cases tmux refuses to start, reporting that “the shell is not a terminal.” I had none of these problems with other terminal emulators. I was planning to contact the support, but honestly issues like these should not have been shipped in the first place, in a commercial product. My daily driver is ShellFish, but even rootshell, which is 100% free, has none of the issues listed above. Finally, I have read the support article explaining why Panic developed their own sync service, but I don’t feel like trusting it with the private keys for critical servers, especially since they could have just used iCloud Keychain.

I’ve used this app multiple days a week for a few months now, and have even tried to work with Panic Support to fix some issues, but being still present I’m starting to shop for other options as it’s not great for pro workflows. I use an iPad Pro 11 and tmux inside the shell, usually on macOS or Fedora Linux machines. About 15% of the bottom of my screen is unusable vertical width when using the magic keyboard, as the app is leaving vertical height for a hidden toolbar. Whenever you swipe away from the app and come back to it, it reopens the sidebar, reflowing all the content in the terminal window and breaking TUIs. In more recent versions, I’m getting actual crashes when using Claude Code and having multiple SSH connections open to different servers. At first it was annoying, but some months later it’s become a dealbreaker. I wanted to love you, Prompt. But I don’t think this is going to work out.

Apparently there was some kind of fix that was done somewhat recently and that has broken the experience completely I can’t scroll and use this app at all I need to refund if this is not fixed within a few days
