I started out being able to read the daily, the saint of the day, and the meditation all for free. Then they started charging for the meditation. Now as of 10/01/26 they charge for the Saint of the day too. Very off putting. Gonna look for an app that doesn’t do that.

This is a great and well made app. I understood putting some things behind a paywall to cover the cost of development, and to continue to make high quality content. However this used to just be longer programs and video series’. Recently they put the daily meditation behind one, and now even the saint of the day requires a premium subscription. I will be finding a different app.

This app has helped me to rediscover what it means to have faith in the Catholic religion. I was raised as a Catholic and felt like I knew just the bare minimum however this app rediscover the many wonderful things of Catholicism, Christ and all history

Very helpful during my OCIA process and for my daily Catholic life.

Ascension is a true faith formation leader. So many resources in the app to grow with God and enhance your Catholic faith. The Bible in the app is amazing but don’t stop there.

This is an incredible resource for deepening your faith. Whether you’re in OCIA right now, or you’re a cradle Catholic, there is something here for you. Incredible people and a great value

I am really enjoying the ascension app. I have the hallow app, which I use every day. My church is offering a prayer study on Mary and I could not attend all the classes but I was told that the ascension app has the course! I now can watch the videos that go with the class at home and attend class when I can. Thank you!!!!

This is a wonderful app and a great way to start your day. I really enjoy taking a few minutes each morning to read, reflect, and focus on my faith before everything gets busy. It’s easy to use, well put together, and has become something I genuinely look forward to. Highly recommend it.

Content is stellar. However for a paid subscription and an app at this level of development, the way videos play really needs to be fixed. It doesn’t tap into iOS controls. Meaning it won’t do Picture in Picture if you need to navigate away for a minute. Worse, the play/ pause can’t be triggered with an AirPod or similar. Meaning if I’m watching a video with Fr. Columba and I pause the video with an AirPod (this does work, interestingly) and then restart the video with the AirPod, Fr Columba sounds an awful lot like Jimi Hendrix or Fr. Mike depending on if I was last in my Music or Podcast app—- Even when Fr. Columba is still on screen. This is the only video app I’ve encountered that does this. I often have to force close the app between videos, videos stop and won’t start again for no apparent reason, and if you watch a few seconds of a video, it shows up with a check mark as entirely played. I’m using the newest pro iPhone with fully up to date iOS. Please fix! Update: issues persist!

This app has everything you need from the Holy Bible to the Catechism and even audio Rosaries. My only complaint is the new front page design with the cartoonish logos for the daily tasks. The original design was much better.
