  • Doesn’t import recipes from web

This is a great app and it syncs up better to my Apple Watch for my workouts than myfitnesspal does, but it does not allow you to import recipes from the web directly you have to input them manually which is very frustrating. Other than that, it works well

Literally exactly what I was looking for. Main menu with everything right up front for you to see. Super easy to use. It knows 99% of things you can. If it doesn’t, you can easily just add the calories (which is all I care about). My one and only gripe about it is the water intake. I wish the water intake configuration was a little more customizable. Even though I’m an American, I prefer to use ml. As of right now you can only go by a 8 oz glass of water or a 16 oz bottle of water. A lot of people use refillable water bottles that typically like 24-64 oz. so no matter what you do, you can’t measure your water to the exact amount.
  • Terrible - Canceled Subscription

This app needs to be redeveloped from the group up. There are just so many known bugs that have yet to be addressed. I’ve had the premium version of the app and have been dealing with the same issues for an entire year. I just cancelled my subscription so that it wouldn’t renew this coming week. I have reached out to the developers and sent videos detailing the exact bugs I’m referring to and still nothing has been done. It’s so irritating because they know of the issues but will just list them on their website. They don’t fix them?! Issues that still haven’t been fixed: Tracking something for a previous day and it getting transferred to the current day. For example. It’ll be 12 am and I remember that I didn’t track my dinner. So I’ll go and track it on that day but it will track it for the current day. Screen cutting off at the bottom for iPhone 12 Pro Max where there is supposed to be a dead zone because of the “home bar”. Push the app up. How hard can it be?!? Adding foods and then getting hit with an error that something is wrong and to double check the amounts. I’m transferring straight from the label. Almost all of the verified food items are incorrect. Actually, most of the items in the database are incorrect. I’ve had to create my own foods for most of them items I consume. The amount of macros and calories do not adding up on the recommendations/day allotment. It’ll say I have like 7 grams of fat left but don’t have the sufficient amount of calories to eat those 7 grams of fat. How is that even calculated? Menus get cut off or don’t start from the top when creating food items. When creating new foods the cursor doesn’t automatically go to the end so you have to drag your finger to get it to the right spot in order to delete stuff. If something is being changed just delete the entire thing and make it an open text box?! Also when creating foods and you’re entering numbers the screen won’t automatically move up to show what you’ve typed. So for example I’ll type something at the bottom of the screen but then the keyboard will cover it so I have to press elsewhere on the screen so the keyboard will go away so I can see what I entered. Those are just some of the most irritating bugs that I’ve been dealing with for the last year. Unless they are addressed I will NOT resubscribe. Get it together Lifesum.
  • Not Giving it up Quite Yet

I like the *idea* of this app, but the food database is not easy to use, nor is it accurate. I purchased the 3-month premium but regret doing so. I hope the developers find a better way to regulate and verify the database. It’s nearly impossible to know if even the verified foods are accurate. As an example, a 4-oz. portion of a specific fish has three verified entries, each quite different from the next. This means that, for my day to be accurate, I have to either enter my own foods directly, or use the bar code scanner, which isn’t always the most convenient way to track. I also prefer to use the app with my tablet. Kudos for the landscape mode, but there are some screens which need some work on the scaling as they cut off at the borders, making them impossible to fully use. I had high hopes, but I can’t see myself sticking with this app after the 3-mo purchase expires, without some significant work on the database and the user interface for those who use tablets over phones. There is potential, but if not addressed, this app won’t gain significant traction with the dieting community; as it is, it’s easier and less frustrating to track pencil to paper ☹️

Nice app but I can’t enter weight for previous days.
  • Let me input my own caloric needs!!!

This app is wonderful except for not being able to adjust my total calories without resetting all of my data. I don’t like that the app tells me what my calorie intake should be and doesn’t allow me to adjust it. I like that you can adjust the carbs/fats/protein ratio but ONLY AFTER purchasing a subscription and the ratio HAS to fit within the calories which are not accurate for me! Please allow users to adjust total calories and ratios based on our own goals. The calculation doesn’t even take into account your activity level, just height weight and age - which aren’t totally accurate indicators of how many calories you should be consuming.. I bought a year subscription and want my money back because of that frustration alone..
  • Wrong information

I wanted to love this up I really did. Second time I’m trying it too! And it is a good one… but, there are a lot of food items with the wrong nutrition information and it drives me crazy. You can’t update it either? Even thought there is a button option for it but it just tells you you put the wrong information and doesn’t let you update anything as a result. Sure you can report the items as having wrong information but I’m yet to see it actually do anything. Besides that the app is perfect and offers a lot of things with a pleasant interface. Unfortunately I’m debating if it’s even worth it

Terribly inaccurate. Even when scanning barcodes the nutritional values do not match up.
  • Best Tracking app

I can’t thank enough the creators, creatives and developers of this app. It’s absolutely amazing. I feel in control everyday without feeling too restricted. I’ve used many tracking apps in the past but Lifesum surpassed every expectation I had for this. Premium is worth every penny, user friendly, no bugs, the meal rating makes meal planning so easy and fun, I don’t drag doing it anymore. Takes all the guessing out and makes it EASY! So happy with it! Keep up the good work!
