    It’s all in the title. The site is a cesspool of noxious activity. From swarms of bot content (illicit or otherwise), regular boosts right wing extremist views and notorious far right users, gross mismanagement of the platform, and a generally toxic environment, this app is only still up because the core tech stack was resilient enough to withstand being repeatedly broken by the clown in charge. If it weren’t riding the Twitter brand legacy it would have been dead in the water.

    I am not a media user. The past few months I have used twitter. I enjoy the science and animal portions. I do not like the many scenarios of people hurting each other. And I find too often the politics are divisive. I would ask people to be courteous and to cease the foul language. Listen and learn

    - quick category / site preference / filter tab - politics, sports, finance, news - search/watch history delete function - ads/new content options: — ad preference filter/selection — permanent ad space confined to 1/3 screen vs whole screen to make X more valuable, pay creators more, get more content variety - content rating/filtering similar to TV/movies - block adult / violent / gore / criminal /scams and foreign content - ability to watch repeats/delayed full TV programs including: news/sports/weather/movies/ local, etc in order to get around high cable/streaming costs - enable a split live TV/stream and tweet screen - enable virtual VCR capability - provide history search/save - allow video call link/ share

    Bots have been way more prevalent, monetization of accounts has just led to engagement farming, and “free speech” policies have led to increased amounts of purely racist content across twitter, while that same “free speech” is not extended to accounts that disagree with or mock the owner of the company
