If you have any problems whatsoever with the app the member care team they have are all very accommodating and helpful. The blockers themselves are good but of course like anything there are a few ways to work around them.

The core feature of the app is there VPN, that’s great for websites but SCREWS with any app that uses the internet big time and yes I’ve gone through many suggested fix’s. Mainly YouTube just never loading any of its home Paige’s and both the iPhones maps app and google maps. Both take forever to load there maps and even longer any saved points of interest like friends houses if they load at all. Also I’m paying for an app to help prevent me from looking at bad stuff yet the app doesn’t age gate the App Store or let me tell it to block certain apps like reddit witch is full of bad stuff. So it’s not even a one stop shop. I’m using other free apps to block usage of those apps and giving the code to change that to my partner.

Not enough IOS app or vpn anti remover

I am the only person in my house that cannot access the web. I check and the Connect to VPN on my iPhone is just spinning. Used to be a much better app. This happens quite a bit. It resolves after I restart my phone. This is a hassle.

Please fix, the vpn restricts the connection to the server of safari.

I agree with what this company stands for and what the program does. However, I think it’s sometimes too restrictive. I can’t even look at emails when I have this app running on my phone. It’s quite annoying. I had to delete the app a couple times just to answer important emails.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Not only have I experienced the same issues everyone else has (broken vpn, pathetic excuse for a browser, etc.), but this app blocks the entirety of Reddit and locks YouTube to restricted mode for no good reason at all. It also takes screenshots of personal data and banking information and who knows what they do with those! (when it sends reports it blurs the screenshots for “privacy”, but as I said, no one really knows what is done with the screenshots before they’re blurred, and I wouldn’t call this company trustworthy by any stretch of the imagination.) Overall, I don’t trust the app or the company and the decisions on what to restrict and block are completely arbitrary and make absolutely no sense.

The app has been helpful, dissuading me from viewing inappropriate material. However, my internet speed is slowed, and, because I use my phone for work I need it to perform optimally. Maybe having a different carrier will determine the rate of internet speed but this is something the developers need to address. I uninstall the VPN and internet speed immediately returned to normal. I’ll just give a similar app a try and hope it doesn’t reduce speed.

It’s good

After a couple years of trying to make this work, it’s time to officially break up. I love CE, it’s heart and concept. Want to keep my family protected and accountable. But when your app is constantly turning most of our family phones into inoperable bricks, never keeping up with OS updates, and not consistently reporting what we need, I just can’t make this relationship work anymore. Why am I paying for something that… SIMPLY. DOESN’T. WORK. This hurts me as much as it hurts you. Goodbye forever. =‘(
