  • Browser vs. App - BIG Difference

OMG, why does the browser version of pepperplate (Mac O/S, Safari) have such useless search capabilities. I can type a recipe name in EXACTLY and find no results returned in the browser version. It's essentially useless if you're trying to hunt down a recipe. For a paid app, this is ridiculous. The App version (iPhone) works reasonably well, but the import function, via URL, only works in the browser version. So you have funcational limits in the app version, and useless search results in the web version. Again, for a paid app. Developers, please correct, or at least explain, why search results are so different/wrong in the web version. I'm considering manually extracting the recipes I care about and moving to another app, which is a shame because I've been tucking away recipes in Pepperplate for serveral years. But what's the point if I can't find them half the time?!
  • Keeps freezing

Great App but it keeps freezing-I tried to let them know a while back but they blamed it on me. I wish it would get fixed-it’s been happening for close to two years!

It used to be good until they decided to charge for it. It combines items on the shopping list but won’t let me un-combine them if I choose to. An example…I added pear and pear nectar to the shopping list. It combined them as pears.
  • So much potential

I have been using this app for years- well before you had to pay. I like a lot of the features but PLEASE make some changes to the grocery list. Being able to establish my own aisles would make my shopping trips faster and easier. Also, please stop auto combining items! If I need chicken breast, chicken thighs, and chicken feed I don’t want all of that to combine into just “chicken”. I entered the items separately for a reason.
  • Suggestion

I love this app and it is well worth the subscription price. I would like to make a suggestion - I occasionally print a recipe for someone or email it. I would like for the picture that is on the recipe to show when I print. I would also like to print on 4x6 or different size cards as I am working on gifting a recipe book to my son. My favorite feature is the scale that gives you the ability to double the recipe or reduce. Thanks for this app!

Would like easy way in app to export individual, multiple and entire recipe contents into files that can be used by other recipes management apps.

There is a subscription fee for this app. Not sure why, because I only keep my own recipes there. I just simply switched to Apple Notes. Done, you’re welcome.
  • No Improvements

I have been a loyal subscriber for over 5 years, even before it was a subscription based app. Unfortunately, even though I truly love this app, I am paying for nothing! There have been no updates nor improvements since I started paying for it. There are so many additions the developer could make to justify the subscription price, but despite my asking, I have been ignored. I wish there was an app that could live up to my standards.
  • Not worth the phone storage

This used to be a good app... had this for years but then they stopped updating it. Now they're charging $2.99/mo to use it. What a rip off. Moving on to something else even though my recipes are being held hostage for ransom essentially.
  • Way too expensive for nothing in return

$2.99/month to access my own recipes while they don’t even do any upkeep is highway robbery. Don’t be fooled, there are plenty of cheaper and even free options as good as or better than Pepperplate ever was.
