For the past two days, the paper hasn’t downloaded. I contacted customer support, so we’ll see how long it takes for a response.

Recently the app has gone from uploading the “Sports final”(latest edition) to the “Metro edition”, which is basically yesterday’s News. You would think by subscribing to a digital newspaper, you would get the latest version, not so in this case. This should be an easy issue to rectify…let’s see what happens.

I moved from NYC and got the digital version of Daily News. I've been reading this paper since I was a child in 51 now! For one month it did not work no matter what I did. Woke up one day it was back to normal. Today no Saturday edition, someone there forgot to release it I guess! This isn't the first time. Also the amount of typos for a newspaper upsets me. I really wish you guys get your mess together. If we pay for something it should work!

Okay, now that the app works properly again, how do we get credit for the TWO MONTHS that we were unable to use your app?? You should respond to this question.

The new revamped version of the Daily News app with red font and white backgrounds is an excellent update. The old app would not download new issues even though I had an active paid subscription. In this new version, new issues are downloadable. The NEW App Navigation is top notch. It has a NEW ability to read aloud articles that is well appreciated by me. This app is now much better than any other Electronic News Paper subscription I have. My time is limited and valuable, so being able to quickly go through the articles that grab my attention is awesome with this new navigation. The only thing I would like to see improved right now, is the ability to change the default voice of Samantha from reading my articles. Her voice is so annoying. I went into iOS settings and changed all my default speaking voices to a SIRI voice and the app still speaks Samatha’s voice. But this app is still great despite that malfunction.

Update: The app has now been fixed and it’s better than before. Thank you for fixing this!!! This is a subscription app. Please fix this so that people who have PAID can get what they paid for.

This was a good app, then stopped working with ios17. When I called last month, they couldn’t figure it out. Use the other app, was their answer.

NYDN shut down one app and opened another without notifying me. I’m a digital subscriber. The new version costs a lot more when the “promotional” ends. They claim that I subscribe through Apple so it’s Apple’s fault I wasn’t notified.

Since moving to Florida 6 years ago I’ve enjoyed reading the digital version of the Daily News on my iPhone.. But since I’ve downloaded iOS 17 on my Apple iPhone I cannot open the app. I’ve called the customer service twice and they were not one bit helpful. I’ve also emailed them three times and all I get as a reply is that I can expect a reply within 72 hours. The last email I sent them was 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for a reply. . What’s wrong over at the Daily News? So i have to give them one star and that’s only because I can’t send them zero stars. Barry Rudd
