  • Well, the calendar is nice

The calendar is nice, but if you want to analyze any data, pair a workout, edit a workout or pretty much anything…you cant do it on the app. The calendar does work well though.
  • Good but not perfect

Likes: Meets me where I am. Can tailor to my ability. Allows for growth. When exercising via any modality without a coach, I have a tendency to overtrain, do more than I should and get injured or discouraged. Using the prescribed workouts, it is easier to stick with it and be more consistent. Steady improvement. Nice to see quantitative data tracking my fitness. Dislikes: A little complicated for the novice. A lot of new acronyms to learn. Takes some time to understand all the attributes of the program. The scheduled workouts are not perfectly synchronized with my scheduled races. For example, the program has me scheduled for a workout the same day as one of my races. Not sure if this is due to my own ineptitude working with the program or due to the program’s failure.
  • Good, but could be better…

It’s great for endurance coaching, but I wish they had a better strength option with a workout builder, stock exercise bank and the ability to upload custom exercises/link to my YouTube videos, so I didn’t need to use multiple platforms for my endurance athletes who also have a strong focus on strength/mobility or rehabilitative exercises. I also wish they had the ability to copy/paste workouts on the app instead of needing the desktop version for that. Would be a great asset! Overall though it’s a great endurance coaching platform and I use it for my own training as well. I appreciate the notifications when my athletes increase thresholds and especially the comparison of top 5 achievements for certain metrics (20 min power, 60 min HR, etc) over time.

I’ve struggled to self motivate to run longer distances. TrainingPeaks has enabled me to stay on task and keep that fitness score moving up.

If you’re training for an event, or simply approach your fitness from a training perspective of improvement and variety, this is the best system for you. App is outstanding for as much as it can do.
  • Useless

I have tried to get the app to work with both Garmin and Apple Watch. The data does not consistently sync and it’s always my long runs that record on the device after sending the workout to my watch but the data never goes to the app. Customer service is infuriating as they only appear to type from a script telling you to delete the app and reinstall it despite the fact we’ve been through this step multiple times. Then they tell you it just be a certain type of workout to record which I keep pointing out that it is. I would have cut my losses long ago as it’s not worth the headache but it’s what my group uses. I have no idea how there are so many positive reviews for this app. I’d give it zero stars if possible. Today’s plan was a much better program.
  • Big app failure point - cancellations

One star due to inability to cancel account within app. Must go to website to cancel. Website on iOS redirects you to app and will not let you log in using website only. Otherwise 5star.
  • It’s a decent fitness tracker.

This is a good tool to use as a fitness diary. Your workouts, your words, your perceived efforts with data to back it up. It has a few glitches and defects. Like I never get any push notifications on my Pixel phone. Ultimately, you will get out of this what you put into it. It can help you train smart. With so much data acquired, I wonder when they will add AI to help build incredibly accurate training programs.
  • Great Training Tool for New Triathlete!

I just started using TrainingPeaks as a tool to help me train for my first triathlon. It has already proven itself extremely helpful! The app is extremely user-friendly, and intuitive so that someone new can reap benefits. I can tell that as I continue to use it and grow as a triathlete, the app will continue to “grow” with me as I learn to more fully utilize all that the app has to offer.
