I’ve had this app for years for school and it’s great besides when I try to export a pdf. It completely doesn’t work and out puts a cut up and mangled mess of a pdf. Besides that this app works great!

The only reason I use this is because it syncs across my iPad, iPhone, Windows Laptop, and Mac. The iPad and iPhone apps are severely handcuffed compared to the full desktop applications. The end user experience across all the different platforms varies enough that it's almost like using a completely different applications on every device. *** It's also prone to frequent crashing, usually when I'm trying highlight text. This is on my up-to-date M1 iPad Pro. If your app crashes just because a user highlighted text, you've really dropped the ball in QC. If there was a better solution, I would happily abandon this application.***

Thank you for the update and for a way to see sticky notes, it’s an improvement. But I still think it would be best to have a separate tab for sticky notes… if you could please make that happen I would be so thankful.

I love this app. I organize just about everything with it. I have a section for just about everything. I have a section for recipes, travel, thoughts and ideas…so many things. I also have a section for podcast ideas and I copy and paste articles to use for research. It’s accessible on all of your devices and helps me work on many different topics throughout each day. Woot!

I’ve always disliked Microsoft for being the 80 lbs gorilla in software. But they get high marks for providing OneNote for free. I’ve tried many other note programs and none compare to it. I use it daily to stay organized with just about everything. If I had to, I would pay for it. It’s that good.
  • Horrible

There are no instructions. Manipulating the information is nigh unto impossible.
  • Janky, search is bad, missing core features

I switched to OneNote because I need a cross-platform note app and Evernote is dying. But OneNote is a regression in so many ways. When I share a web page into it, OneNote saves it as an unsearchable PDF. Search is broken generally; it can’t search across all notes, just the one saved to my phone. And there’s no way to search on multiple terms - it just searches for a phrase verbatim. Even then sometimes it fails to find pages. Searching for text images doesn’t work either (you can click images individually in the desktop app to make them searchable one by one, but that doesn’t work on mobile). You can’t save images from OneNote to your camera roll - the only option is to copy them, paste into a mail to yourself, and then save them from the email. There’s a hundred terrible gaps like this. If there were any other apps with seamless cross-platform note sharing and functional search, I’d switch to them.
