Update with complete ui overhaul in version 7 makes app bloated and clumsy to operate. They took out power user functionality with this “new” version
  • Bad Update. Trash App. RUINED with v7. NPR RUINED THIS APP.

Always CRASHES. App freezes every time it wakes up. Brings back archived episodes randomly. Doesn’t work. Used to be the best podcast app. Now its the WORST. SHAMEFUL. Do not download this app. Its garbage.
  • Reliability in question

Beyond the jarring UI updates, I am now facing issues in being able to simply queue and play my podcasts. Sometime after the major update I am now faced with what appears is random clearing of the queue. Some of the pods show up as listened in the history while others just get archived. I have to re-trace my queue now at least 5-10 times in the last week. If an update doesn’t come soon I will be forced to try another app that can at least maintain a basic queue.
  • Sadly I’m leaving for good

This is bittersweet. I go way back with this app ive been using it since it was a free app if the day on the android platform. I jumped on the chance to try something new. And I Fell in love with the UI and frequent updates to improve the app. This also was the first app I purchased on either platform. After hearing how the developers was having issues with amazon. I decided to purchase this app on the android platform. When I moved to IOS this became the first purchased app for me on IOS. Loved the app from day one. But I can no longer keep this app. It constantly closes and often hangs up while trying to play podcast. I’m moving on to a more reliable podcaster. I Don’t have issues with who purchased this app. It’s not important to me. I don’t care about ownership of an app But I do care about how the app performs. And the last few months this app has been a disaster. I’m Moving on to overcast. I wish the best for a app I’ve supported since day one. But like Many here. We want the app to perform the way it’s supposed to. I want my app to be reliable and to play a pod when I want it. And since that can no longer be accomplished anymore. I’m moving on. Hope the new devs get this app fixed.
  • You killed my up next list that was synced across devices.

This version 7 keeps getting worse. Now they deleted my up next playlist with over twenty podcasts on it. The cross platform sync is hit or miss now, used to be rock solid in 6.
  • App has self-destructed

This review page is still facing the music for a very sudden redesign a while back that was just really bad. It’s basically fine now, totally different app compared with the old design but it works well enough.
  • I can’t believe how they destroyed this app

How can you alienate nearly all of your user base that supported you all these years and just be flippant and arrogant? Those troll positive reviews that are clearly by friends and family, just make things worse. Shameful.
  • The app is now horrible.

The new UI is a complete mess. It bizarrely removed useful features like being able to sort your unplayed podcasts to the top. And it adds convoluted categories like archiving played episodes, and potentially hiding them. Some setting can be set on individual podcasts, while others are global, and It is unclear how which takes precedence on how the program will behave.
