Description

NW Ferry is a traveling companion for commuters and tourists looking to ride the Washington State Ferry system (WSF). From accurate schedules and fares, to timely alerts, terminal cameras and vessel location information, NW Ferry keeps you informed and ready to navigate the Puget Sound with confidence. Application Features: * Schedules, fares, terminal cameras, alerts and vessel location information are all available in a clear, cohesive user interface. Simply select departing and arriving terminals along with an optional date to quickly retrieve the information you need. * Includes a widget that allows you to see upcoming ferry departure times for the terminal that is closest to your current location. * Packs an Apple Watch app for retrieving the ferry schedule. * For select terminals view Terminal Status in the Schedule tab (approximation of remaining vehicle drive-up and reservation spaces for upcoming departures). * Includes a map view that shows the WSF vessels in real time as they travel across the Puget Sound. * Tap the reverse direction button to swap departing & arriving terminals. Provides WSF ferry information for the following terminals: Anacortes Bainbridge Island Bremerton Clinton Coupeville Edmonds Fauntleroy Friday Harbor Kingston Lopez Island Mukilteo Orcas Island Point Defiance Port Townsend Seattle Shaw Island Sidney B.C. Southworth Tahlequah Vashon Island NW Ferry requires an Internet connection in order to initially cache schedule and fare data for a specific terminal combination & date. Note that NW Ferry is in no way affiliated with WSDOT or the Washington State Ferries. However, it makes use of WSDOT's publicly available "Traveler API" (http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/api/). This API is subject to change at any time. In the unlikely event of a drastic change, NW Ferry's functionality may be affected.

Update the actual expected time ferry’s are departing from the dock when they’re behind schedule.

I appreciate this app at least showing what the schedule “would” or “should” be, if all goes to plan. WSF app is somewhat futile.
  • Review pop ups are a pain.

Rating pop ups are a pain when you are in a hurry. App is fine except that.
  • Unreliable schedules

With the shortage of crew impacting ferry schedules, you MUST check on line and not rely on the app for now so you don’t miss the boat!!
  • Thankful for reservations

Always using ferry service from Pt. Townsend to Coupville, I am so glad I can make reservations as it’s a long way to drive to Kingston , where there are usually long wait lines. Driving to Anacortes only makes sense to take the run from Pt. Townsend. Also thankful there are alerts on ferry app.
  • Useless

This app takes $1.99 from you and offers the same info available for free on the ferry website. Complete waste of money
  • Misleading at best.

I have been using the WSDOT app for years and am perfectly happy with it. However I want a Home Screen widget, which this app claims to have (see last photo.) Alas there is no Home Screen widget. I will seek a refund.
  • Why Not Display Sailing/Arrival Times?

NW Ferries is a basic departure time app, and that is all there is, nothing more. So, is it useful for anything beyond that? Like, whenever the ferry is expected to arrive at the destination? No. That kind of omission is offensive, really.
