Learning a language can be an experience that transforms your life. Over 25 years of language learning experience has taught Rosetta Stone one thing: everyone has the ability to learn to read, write, and speak a language with confidence. Try the Rosetta Stone app yourself for free. Many online language learning apps will promise that you can learn a language in just a few minutes a day. However, there is a significant difference between memorizing vocabulary lists and speaking a language with confidence. Learning a language is about more than just the words. One of the mistakes new language learners make is treating language as an object or an end goal instead of as an experience. Ditch the books, translator, and dictionary, and surround yourself with a language whenever, wherever with the Rosetta Stone mobile app. RECENT AWARDS • 2019 PCMag Editors’ Choice • 2019 Tabby Awards Winner • 2019 Best Mobile App Awards: Best Designed App and Best Overall App Rosetta Stone has taught millions of people new languages, and you’re next. • Learn through immersive simulation

For the most part it has a good combination of review and new vocabulary. Occasionally images are confusing as to what they imply but for the most part its very clear to reduce a translation method style of learning. I am reviewing the lifetime account that includes all languages. It is a great deal!
  • No sound

    By Trillest901
Sound just stopped working on my iPhone 13 pro. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Tried changing languages. Tried downloading lessons. Other apps work fine on my phone. Waste of money.
  • Great app

I got this app not long ago and it is great! I already know so many words and phrases in other languages I highly recommend it!
  • Lots of improvements to be made

Rosetta Stone has such an amazing history of helping language learners, but this app has a laundry list of issues. Bugs are so frequent I can’t get through two lessons without restarting the app (freezing slides, not triggering completed lesson when finished, buttons or terms will not select, audio will not play for some of the multiple choice). The option to translate ‘elements’ will sometimes not trigger any response. The auto transition between sections makes it difficult to review a page to make sure you are correctly understanding something. I would suggest a revamping of the review system on this app,I see this as the the most valuable tool to Learners as it gives them a way to get back up to speed or confirm lessons before moving on to more advanced ones. Some options are only available on web or app, these seem unnecessary and inconsistent - example: with Japanese you have the option for the furigana to be displayed on the web but not the app, there aren’t limitations on iOS devices that prohibit this. The speech sections work well almost all the time (75-85%) but often need to close out app because calibration will not work. There are so many other adjustments to be made to make this service worth the cost, I was using this app more than a year ago with some of these same issues. It’s incredible that they have not been addressed in this time period. [edit] I’m ignorant, there is an option for Furigana in the mobile app. All other critique still stands
  • Pretty Good

I’ve been using Rosetta Stone for about a week now and all I have to say about it is that it’s pretty good! It differs from Duolingo in that it teaches things in more depth. I’d say give it a shot and choose your favorite after you’ve used both!

  • The “Pyramid Scheme” of Language Learning

    By Splicorice01
Rosetta Stone consistently refreshes the general user interface and the delivery of information under the guise of full-scale updates, allowing them to work around “lifetime accesses” granted to previous customers. Beyond the money-grabbing, the quality of material is minimal at best. The lesson plans provided offer little to no diversity, nor adaptability to differing learning styles. I would not recommend Rosetta Stone to anyone even semi-interested in learning a new language.
  • I recommend

It gives me the best way to learn and pronounce some of the languages I am learning in school
  • Excellent

I think this is a fabulous way to learn a language. I love I can do it on my cell phone. I like that there are photos to show you what the words mean. The only thing I would add is having the user’s original language translation wrote out with each new language word or phase. I also love the it says out loud the way the new words are said, and then makes sure you are pronouncing them correctly
