Updated version has so much more rich and helpful information relating to your scoring and it’s trend. I do wish they would make the workout tracking aspect optional though, I like using my watch to keep track of score and distances while playing, but the app greatly overinflates my active calories while doing so.

Since the new update when I go to use my Apple watch to post my scores hole by hole it requires me to use GPS. Why can I not post scores without using GPS like before the update. GPS drains the battery on my phone and watch.

The new entry for each hole has definitely regressed. Not sure why you changed it - now it’s just a pain to enter the information. Would be great if you went back to the previous entry method.

Based on others’ feedback, the app redesign may have improved the GPS and Play functions of the app, but for those who use other apps during our round and only use GHIN to track handicaps and enter scores, it got measurable worse. The hole by hole input is far more confusing. Why move away from using the native iOS number keyboard to enter…. NUMBERS?!? Instead, you get a panel of scores that change location and appearance every time you switch to the next hole based on the par of that hole. It’s like a bad puzzle in a video game.

The new refresh looks pretty and all and I haven’t played around with it completely, but now you can’t put your stats in as you go. You have to put your score in before it goes to the next screen (fairway, green, putts). Even after the round is over it’s often easier to remember a hole shot by shot and then your score. But now you have to put score first. Should be an option to use old format.

The new update to the GHIN app is so visually pleasing. It shows you all your data in an easy to understand manner while remaining thorough. Looking forward to trying the “play” feature after the app refresh. Hats off to the dev team on this update.

App works as advertised. Buttons in design to pay upgrade options. No 5 star app does this for me. time lost in interface because of this. Plus watch link is awkward when starting a round.

Won’t open, just spins and then freezes. Remove/delete and re-download. Log in. Agree to terms and conditions and it just closes. No nothing. Can’t open it. For the past decade or however long the app has existed it worked just fine. Stop trying to be what you’re not and adding features that ultimately screw everything up. Just have the thing work to create handicaps. That’s all we need it to do.

I don’t know why I can’t input the actual yardages that I hit my clubs! Your algorithm is useless! Please give us the ability to disable the distances you think we should hit our clubs! It’s ridiculous that you think you know better than the golfer!

I’m a fan of the app. Not so much today. The greens map is unavailable on a course I play regularly.
