  • Beware!

Be very careful if you decide to give this a try. At the end of my 7 day trial I was charged for a years subscription even though I didn’t want that. I might have done another month while I decided if the expense was worth it but sure didn’t want a $70 charge. You really only get 6 days to decide on your trial because you have to cancel 24 hours before trial ends. And now I cant get a refund. Apple says contact the app developers and Tiny Tap says contact Apple. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

I downloaded this app after seeing an ad for it. I figured I’d give the free trial a try. I really tried to get my 2 year old to use it but it frustrated him more than anything. I forgot to cancel before it renewed for a year long. I tried to get a refund and to cancel the subscription but they refused it. Needless to say I’m stuck with this app for a year. Such a waste of money.

As a teacher/TinyTap creator, I love the endless possibilities TinyTap offers for creating interactive lessons. It is easy to use for creating without having to know how to code, which is genius in my book! The ability to adapt lessons for children's specific learning needs is priceless. I agree with some of the comments about age levels being a little off, but feel this is a function of our educational system at large, and not something TinyTap can "fix". Every district follows its own curriculum standards, so different skills are taught at different age levels. What one teacher would share as an activity for a kdg student might be considered a first grade skill by a different teacher in a different district. I have 3 suggestions to parents to get around this problem. 1) Become familiar with the curriculum standards/skills being taught in your child's school (they should all be easy to find online), and search for those topics, rather than by age level. 2) Search in a wider range of age levels. Instead of searching for 4-5 years, search also the levels before and after. 3) Find out what your child is working on in school this week/month, and search for those topics to supplement the classroom instruction.
  • Like others say, hard to navigate

I’ve only had this loaded for a day and my 3yo seems to like some of games and puzzles. My only complaints are that the home screen is disorienting and some of the drag and drop items are too close to the top of the screen. This activates the control center on my iphone even though I’ve de-activated control center within apps. Anyway, the frustrations caused by this are not worth it. I felt like I always needed to be next to her to help.

I love this app, just wish their was Mexican Spanish as an option since that is what we are teaching my son first

I had my son who recently turned two playing this, he liked it a lot. Some of the games were great, and perfect for his skill level, others were way to difficult for him or didn’t want to load or would freeze my phone all together. My opinion but when selecting to age range they really should have different games for 2 to 2 1/2 and then the older twos.
  • Even if it was free, not worth it. Not kid friendly.

The app is so slow that my toddler quickly loses interest. The games are way below my expectations especially for a paid app. Additionally I feel like the subscription used shady practice by charging for a year 24 hours before I thought I needed to cancel the trial. I decided to try to make the best of it and instead received an app that isn't user friendly and low quality. On a side note, no kids app should transfer the child over to regular YouTube ever. It seems this app was not made with children in mind.

My 4 year old is addicted to this game!! Usually she just watches a video on Netflix on our iPad, now she couldn't care less about a movie and I don't mind her playing this educational game.
  • Not any better than the many free learning apps

My son wasn’t interested in playing any of the games. I also noticed that they weren’t any different than the many other apps I’ve downloaded in the past for my children, that they also were never very interested in playing. Maybe the games in other age ranges are better, but the ones for 4-5 year olds is definitely not worth the money.

My kid loves playing with the games available, especially those that are made by TinyTap. I just wish that it is cheaper, say $50 a year?
