Great app! Just.. why must I pay to sing alone.

I’ve been a VIP for more than 5 years now. I love to sing. And as a VIP, I can sing solo or duet, and can pick the songs that I want. Also, as a VIP, I can upload the songs that are not yet on Smule. Here’s a suggestion: pay your subscription using the desktop not using the mobile app. You’ll save a lot.

It was good at first, 'til I saw you have to pay just to freaking sing. Like I just want to sing, and the reason is it's just to get money.

This app used to be great, but now it’s nothing but a greedy cash grab

As an introvert I thought I was able to do karaoke in peace but the thing with this app is that you have to pay for things. I know the developer might joining a karaoke is free but I don't want join people even if its free. A few suggestions is making things like to make a specific song match with your voice type you would probably have to pay or make more songs accessible for those that can't pay just to do a solo.

It’s nearly impossible to find songs now and when they are found they are really terrible recordings and often have the original vocals or someone covering the song which defeats the whole point of the app being to practice karaoke and be able to hear how you sound when you play it back. Sometimes a song that is there is buried beneath hundreds of irrelevant search results and this is so expensive every month to have it become worse and worse where I can’t practice anything I actually want to sing anymore. I don’t think I can give it much more time to fix these issues before canceling because I have been waiting for it to get better for so long now and every time I search a new song I find it’s unavailable or has the lead singer or someone covering it so I can’t use it for karaoke anymore…so frustrated because I really used to live this app.

I remember using this app a while ago and as soon as I log in, they ask me to pay for premium. I can’t even sing popular songs by myself ( solo ). I would have to sing with a duet or join someone live, which I absolutely hate. Don’t download this app unless if you want to pay for songs to do by yourself and everyone who has premium get more attention more than non-premium. Don’t waste your time on this app.

Finally I can share my passion for singing great job smile team but please add some free solo singing every day you get one please add it
