I subscribed for one year and put up with having to spend hours downloading different regions every time there was an update. The visual acuity for the maps themselves is poor, especially when comparing them to other like apps available. After purchasing a new iPad, the subscription wouldn’t transfer. I contacted customer support and got little assistance and a response that my email didn’t show a subscription. I then sent a screen shot of my App Store Subscriptions, which clearly showed that I had a subscription to customer support and didn’t receive any response. Such a waste of time. I canceled my subscription and now use another service. The concept is good, the actual map quality and support is terrible.

From the US to Africa, this app gives me the confidence to drive internationally.

This use to be my favourite map app that I would use without WiFi. This is no longer the case I find the mapping without WiFi is bad and pinpoint location not to be accurate. I don’t recommend using or buying this app. I have been using this app for more than ten years and have pinpoints everywhere I traveled to. I’m going to need to transfer all of these points to a different mapping app.

Now it says you have 10 free map downloads remaining when you go to download a map. Used to be unlimited.

I’ve recommended this app to literally hundreds of people. I used the turn by turn in Australia on CarPlay, speed indicator on the train in Italy, and downloaded many maps of areas I planned to visit on vacation or hiking in the wilderness. — Now every one of those features costs a monthly subscription. I get making money, but removing features and placing them behind a monthly pay wall is a sure way to change the opinions of long time users. How many monthly subscriptions is a person supposed to have? Disappointed.

The user can’t look up a specific address and set it as their destination. I guess the app uses specific coordinates or something. Either way it wasn’t worth the money I mistakenly forked up and Apple never gets tired of denying refunds (especially when the trial ended less than 12 hours ago). I’m not going to use a gps app that won’t let me set a specific address as my destination.

I was lost in Venice arriving late at night. GPS did not work couldn’t get a signal, but MAPS.ME was clear as a bell.

Realities of hiring new management I assume. For years I kept records of my trips with pins here. Flying over Greenland I could get a gps signal. On a ship in the inside passage so I could see where we went. But when I flew to a new place I would pay for a while. Keeps getting harder to deal with this app.
