  • For those who seek to delve into insanity

    This review is for what some might call an app but in reality is an insidious example of psychological warfare. Promise quality content and then make it tearfully frustrating and nearly impossible to watch it. Trying to use this app on appleTV or Roku is an exercise in futility. A typical viewing experience: Start an episode. Watch until first commercial break. Watch set of commercials. Upon returning to content the app fails to resume the show. Either close app or wait for it to time out buffering. Attempt to resume episode and are forced to rewatch commercials. App will fail to load show content again. Try quitting and reloading again 2-8 times. Repeat process again for following commercial breaks. This is guaranteed to double the amount of time it takes to watch any show. As other reviewers stated, other streaming apps and services work just fine so it is an issue on Paramounts end. Wish Apple would pull this app until it is proven to run with stability and consistency.
  • Crashing and no cast

    This app was supposed to be a good alternative, but it takes too long to load. Once it does load it crashes. There is no option to cast to the tv and if there are shows I want to watch I can’t because nothing loads.
  • Many problems with chrome cast

    The app does what it says, this is more a review for those that use this app to cast onto chrome or other devices. For that purpose, this app is horrendous. It takes multiple attempts to successfully cast the content, once done the app forgets you casted and you are unable to pause or rewind. When you are finished it again takes multiple attempts to get cbs off your tv. I put up with this app to watch the Stand, but now I will be happily deleting it off my phone.

    I’ve tried using this app on multiple devices. So far the best has been on an Amazon fire tablet, but not ideal to watch a movie with the family. The App for PS4 is pure garbage. It lags, freezes, auto play doesn’t work, no option to restart anything g from the beginning, and forward/rewind don’t work. I’ve also used the app through xfinity on our tv. It works a little better but still lags and freezes. May as well just deal with commercials & watch regular cable. Seriously doubt I keep this beyond our free trial. I purchased through my apple account so I hope it’s easier to cancel that way. I’ll stick with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon prime.

  • Fatal Error. Thinks I live outside my country

    Content WAS great, app is so bad I’m considering cancelling my subscription. All of a sudden thinks I live outside my country. Cant play anything Of all the streaming apps I have, this is the ONLY one I always have issues with. I’m sure CBS doesn’t want to be considered mediocre. Invest in better developers. DO BETTER

    Like many reviews I’ve seen before for this app, i was also very excited to get Paramount plus. But i am not happy with it. It loads and loads and buffers and buffers and the video never starts back up again. The downloading is an issue as well. There’s a great selection of videos and series to stream, but the technology behind this app is lacking. I thought it would be better.

    I don’t know what is going on with Paramount on my iPad. It randomly rewinds scenes and picks up from there! I also get the spinning internet connection being lost when nothing else is having issues. Not sure what is going on!

    I added an entire subscription for the year just so I could get peppa pig for my 4 year old to watch. And for whatever reason beyond my control the app will not work on 3 separate Apple TV 4ks, 2 separate Apple TV HDs, an iPhone 13 pro max, an iPhone 12, and 2 iPads. I have deleted and reinstalled, I allow the app to track, my download speed is consistently 715 Mbps on a mesh eero network with an arris modem that have all been updated and reset, aside from factory resetting all my devices what can I do to watch peppa pig. I couldn’t even watch the new south park special, if u try to steer folks to your product you should at least ensure that it works. Oh let me not forget I did buy hdmi 2.0 cables so there wouldn’t be any HDCP issues And yet I’m still having trouble.
