    I received at text at 2:03 pm my shopper Ginger was shopping. At 2:37pm I received a text that my order was cancelled and rescheduled for the next day at 9am. However needed groceries for tonight, I called at 6:15 trying to see why my order was not delivered and then noticed in the app my order was cancelled and rescheduled for the next day at 9am-11 pm… and spoke with a chat bot, Poonam -and was assured my order would be delivered In the next 2 hours. That time passed and I called customer service spoke with a person and she was not helpful. Apologized but didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience and the lack of customer service nor did they offer another driver. Ive used instacart for over 5 years and have spent over $5000. Most orders go pretty smoothly, just very unsatisfied lately. Lots of hidden charges and upcharges for using the app. Will order the through the stores directly from now on. This is why I pay for the convenience, not to be inconvenienced.

    I’ve used this app for a few years now. It has been very handy. But lately it’s more of hassle then anything. Multiple times I’ve placed an order for it to arrive at 5:00 and the shopper will start shopping at 3:00 and say “it lets me start as soon as people place orders”. So it arrives hours before I’m home. It’s hot outside and I order cold items. I just placed an order today and choose the fastest one (more money) and added a tip as I always do. I chose the time for 6:50. It was going fine until I got an update saying my order wouldn’t arrive until 8. So I canceled my order. I’m not using this app anymore.
  • Account locked after redownloading

    I’ve used the app previously and it was fine. Redownloaded today to grab a few items. Once I logged in, it let me shop away. Placed the order and it was all well and good. About 30 minutes later I go and check on the order and the app tells me my account has been locked. I hadn’t received any notification that they canceled my order, so I guess it’s a good thing I checked. I’m a little irritated that I have to now submit my id and credit card for verification, especially since I’m using Apple Pay to make purchases. A little confused why you need my id at all. I wasn’t buying any alcohol, and even if I was, the email I received told me to block my birthday. Why do you need to confirm my address? What happens if I’m buying things for a friend? Will you lock my account again if id address doesn’t match delivery address? Email also requests the id given be a government approved id, but not military? Why not? It’s a government approved id. Then it asks for a payment card with your name and the last 4 digits of the card number. Again- I’m using Apple Pay. How does that work? Overall, just a frustrating experience and a complete waste of time. As much as I hate DoorDash and UberEats, I haven’t had any issues with either. Locking accounts and asking for forms to be filled out is a great way to null the quick convenience of online shopping.

    I have used Instacart weekly for several years and have no problems until I received an empty box for a $200 item. Their customer service is non existent. I am assured they escalate my issue and I will hear back in 24-48 hours. 7 tickets and 2 months later, still nothing. Chat will keep you in an endless loop of “thank you for staying connected.” For hours. Switching to Shipt. Can’t be worse!

    We were delivered an empty sunglass box and Instacart refuses to credit us for this error/lack of delivery. We have been in contact with AT LEAST 10 times and have spent hours trying to get a response and they refuse to help us. We have been loyal customers for years and this means nothing to them.

    Still doesn't interact well with an external keyboard. When texting with a shopper, part of the text entry field as well as the "send" button are covered by the "Show Keyboard" button that can't be dismissed. "If out of stock, refund" option is gone in the latest version. (Hopefully this is a bug, but if it isn't, will be switching).

    This app makes my life so much easier. I’m able to order exactly what my son needs and have it delivered straight to his dorm. The ease of use and the constants updates are perfect. I especially appreciate the updates on the shoppers location so I can give my son a heads up when he needs to head downstairs from his main dorm building.
