    I understand advertising “hooks”. But “add to your order” really gives you a new order. Delivery times get longer and longer after the trial period. Almost obligating you to join. Be ready to add $15 to every order after your trial if you don’t join.

    they stole 100$ from me and refused to give it back because it’s been more than five days. whatever you do, DO NOT buy from instacart. i even explained how i am a college student and CANNOT afford this and they did not car nor were nice.

  • Hit or miss - not worth the risk

    Some days they get it right and other times they don’t but then you have the occasions when they just go straight off the rails. Yesterday I ordered and gave a 3 hour window for extra time, the shopper started then half way thru said they had to stop. I contacted support to see what I cold do as I needed this stuff for dinner for my family and was told it’s still being shopped. Finally contacted support again and they fixed the issue but had to extend the time off arrival. The shopper who eventually started shopping couldn’t find 1/3 of the items including those that had just previously been shopped (at Costco)saying they must have run out in that time. Finally just had to cancel the order as it wasn’t worth paying for a partial order. This isn’t the first time and it’s not worth it considering all the issues. Update: decided to give Instacart a second chance. Still lot of issues and now have cancelled my account. Two orders in a row they weren’t able to complete and the last order they charged me a 15$ restock fee for an order that the shopper had to cancel on because they didn’t have the ability to pay for items at Costco due to being a new shopper. Support kept telling me they couldn’t reverse the charge but finally said it would be reversed and will take 7-10 days to refund. Instacart is a total scam and will charge you for their issues

    SCAMMERS ALERT ! They charged me $99 for a year of membership just because I started a free trial. They lied and said I used instacart free trial years ago, and the next move is an automatic renewal of ONE Year membership !! I called the useless customer service , asked for a cancellation and refund, they refused. I offered to pay one month of membership and I get a refund of the difference. They also refused and the rude « professional » agent hung up the phone on me.

  • The App Is Always Changing For Worse!

    Every few months the app changes. Yet for the years I have used Instacart it is never up to date with items. Items listed are not carried by the store and other items are in the store but not listed. Now I can’t even scroll down and add a description and photo of an item I know store has—Up to 4 months ago I could. Plus now I can’t change tips before order is shipped no matter how I try by following instructions! Finally most of the shoppers are so overwhelmed they don’t or can’t read the notes and replacements I spent a lot of time writing down. I have told numerous support people about these problems and they are never resolved. I am probably not going to renew my subscription unless the service improves.

    I love the fact of spending my time doing something else but yet my grocery shopping is done too. I just wish the drivers would deliver to the right address.
