    I have ways loved Udemy platform. Lately however the app is interfering with the platform and is very glitchy. I cannot seem to reach anyone to help with a course that was working earlier, but all of a sudden stopped playing videos. The screen becomes black, but only for this course. I will try reaching out to the author of the course because Udemy keeps circulating my questions so that I can’t actually reach a human being to get help. Very disappointing.

    Public Announcement I strongly advise against attaching your bank card or credit card to this service, especially when signing up for their subscriptions. Here's why: Misleading Subscription Practices: While all courses are supposedly available with a subscription, be aware of their trial period tactics. Instead of transitioning you to a monthly subscription after the trial, they directly charge $240, claiming it's for an annual subscription. Lack of Transparency and Customer Support: I contacted their support this morning to address the unauthorized charge, but they refused to issue a refund despite me not signing up for a yearly subscription. This behavior is highly unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. To prevent unauthorized charges and financial stress, avoid using your bank card or credit card for their services. They have a track record of taking money without clear permission and not providing refunds. In summary, exercise caution when dealing with this company. Their practices can be seen as exploitative, and it’s crucial to protect yourself financially. If you must use their services, consider using alternative payment methods that offer more control over unauthorized charges.

  • Trying to change my email address!

    I need to change the email address that I sign into Udemy with. I log into the website. Click on the security link. I checked 2 factor authentication, and got an email with a code. I entered the code and then logged in again. I clicked the security link again and edit beside my email address. A box comes up with my current email and if I click the password and sign in, nothing happens and I’m back at the edit page. There is no place to put old address/new address. Then I get this message You have exceeded the maximum number of requests I just want to change my email address that I use to log in with Please help me! Margaretta When I am in the app and click the search button, I get lists of courses to scroll through. It takes a long time to do this and still I cannot find what I want. Why can’t I just search for a particular subject…python, swift programming etc. I know this class is on Udemy because I found it online, but I want to use Apple Pay which is how I payed for the 5 courses that I already have. I can’t find that option and if it’s only found in the app then it’s useless if I can’t find the courses I want in the app.

    On any other learning site, like Coursera for example, you can ‘play’, ‘pause’, or ‘forward’, ‘rewind’ using the keyboard. But not on Udemy. I don’t know if they are irresponsible , ignorant, or lazy, but such a simple implementation can make the learning process soooo much easier. Instead, we have to use the mouse, which is really inconvenient and slow. I taught that there is way to fix that, so I started Googling for a solution, but there is non. All I saw is a bunch of other bad reviews that complain about that Udemy issue. Which prove the fact that they know about it, but really don’t care.

  • Terrible App update!!!

    I have lots of courses downloaded for offline practice. Upon downloading the new update, all the videos I downloaded vanished. It’s not like I downloaded them using Wi-Fi!!!! Why is this app so broken? An update is supposed to improve the app, not make it worse. It’s so annoying!!! I live in a country where data is expensive to buy!!!

    It’s a serviceable app, but I have found that it is almost impossible to download any videos to my phone (latest updated iPhone). This significantly inhibits the app’s utility for people who are sometimes offline (such as on long flights without streaming WiFi).
