  • Greed ruined the game.

Covet cut ties with all of the designers and the game only releases their own ugly, AI-generated items now. Many of us have been playing since 2013 and have put up with changes driven by greed since EA purchased the license but this is the last straw.
  • rating system is terrible

The game is fun and the options are nice but the rating system is a joke. The outfits that are rated 5 stars are absolutely terrible and only rated highly because of the amount spent on the items. They show no variety. The top looks are always showing the same pieces and look nearly identical. Basically, if you buy all new pieces and use only items in season, you’re rated 5 stars. I’ve never seen such awful outfits rated 5 stars.
  • Covet Fashion: From Creative Outlet to Costly Disappointment

Covet Fashion has lost its charm. What was once a creative, enjoyable game has devolved into an overpriced, repetitive, and politically tinged experience. Players are charged more than they would spend in a real boutique, only to dress avatars in endless variations of the same gowns. The voting system is skewed, rewarding cloned, uninspired looks while genuine creativity is overlooked. Instead of celebrating diverse fashion and fair play, the game now feels like a costly echo chamber for recycled designs. If you value your time, money, and creativity, look elsewhere—this game no longer values any of them.
  • No realistic growth

It’s almost impossible to get cash. I even tried buying it. But getting only 50 dollars back after spending 600 covet cash on clothing in a challenge is not a fair investment. How on earth are we supposed to make cash?? You’d think voting would help but no all you get is tickets. I don’t care about any tickets. I just want cash to complete my looks. But I have to wait days sometimes just to get some cash. But the longer I wait the less appealing the app becomes.. also I don’t think it’s fair to pair a 5 level player with a 21 level player. How are they supposed to grow if everyone usually picks the one with the most items? Can’t you fix the voting to match people in at least similar levels
  • EA Destroyed This Game

This game used to be awesome. But then EA and its over-reliance on AI and cash grabs and pay-to-win ruined it. Let’s start with the pros: Appreciate more accessible challenges: normal challenges, unlocked seasons, general guidelines Appreciate that sprees are more doable Daily reward Free version of covet pass More freedom with challenges so top winners don’t all look the same Gripes: I miss the days when some creativity was required. Now all the looks that win big are copy-and-pasted with zero originality and all the over-the-top ridiculousness. I hated when daily challenges started using recommended items and props. The rewards are too split so that it is very hard to get hair accessory collections or enough crowns. The prizes are no longer meaningful. The accessories in the right hand are often blocked. The left hand is always visible and only holds flowers. They’re clearly running out of ideas for hair accessories, because they keep getting stupider. The same goes for the Covet Collection items and the props. There are a million items that are basically the same, but the three you have aren’t the ones required: that other identical one that you didn’t buy is. Single-use hair accessories are ridiculous. Cultural and historical challenges that are anything but authentic and are a total joke to the culture you’re supposed to be representing. Locked seasons in challenges Hyper-specific challenges and flashbacks where what is spent on one of three rings that will only be used once far outweighed prize or styling trunk. They should be less specific. Pay to win Daily flashbacks: come on, we don’t need that many. This season’s prizes are a joke. More and more ridiculous CC items. CC items look AI-generated and ugly. Terrible prompts—hire a writer. Splitting prizes among worthless clothes, crowns, etc. So you never win anything meaningful. The only good prizes are for people who pay: I miss winning usable and valuable clothes, HA, and props. Seasonless challenges are a joke and have basically doubled the flashbacks. I’ve been seeing typos and glaring mistakes in the prompts. Also there are prompts that don’t fit the theme or the background image (for example, style a street violinist but the background is a concert). “Style a colorful summer look,” but the requirements are black shirts.

I like the game and have lots of Facebook friends who play. For many weeks we cannot borrow because there is a problem connecting with facebook. The game is no longer in Facebook’s list of games. 😩

This used to be a really fun app, but this fall season is terrible. The game used to allow you to earn and use beautiful designs from real brands, but now they’re replacing all rewards with their own basic, unattractive and over priced designs. The daily challenges are no longer exciting. It used to be a great game, and now it’s virtually ruined.
  • What happened to this game??

I used to LOVE this game. I’ve played nearly every day for a decade. Beginning with the 2025 seasons, I noticed a shift in the quality of garments available. This game used to have tons of brand partnerships with real-world items that could be used in game play. Now, basically everything is part of the “Covet Collection” brand and appear to be largely AI generated. I suspect that the challenges are frequently AI generated as well, as they frequently don’t make much sense and have funky wording. Challenges have become repetitive, are often nonsensical, and lack creativity. Unfortunately, unless the game designers decide to drastically shift the game play back to include real brands and well-written prompts, I will no longer play the game.

EA is where games go to die. They’ve completely dropped the ball on this game since they took over. I honestly believe they’re trying to milk every penny they can from their players before EA drops it off the map.
