  • Unrealistic Predictions

    When you fist sign up for Noom, they give you a predicted date for you to hit your goal weight. It’s supposedly based on the personal data you give them in the signup process. Well, I finally did the math, and to keep up with my “prediction,” I would have to average a weekly loss of 2.5 pounds. For someone of my height, sex, and age, that is patently absurd, even on a crash diet. I should have done the math right away, but I trusted them based on all the positive reviews. Shame on you, Noom, for luring people in with unrealistic predictions. Shame on you for promising “Noom Coaches” when what you actually offer is a 2 minute copy-paste conversation with an untrained lackey once a week. Shame on you for promising far more than you can deliver. Your service has not lived up to the marketing hype or the exorbitant cost.

    I like the app but I would like to see a feature where you can check out food colors and calories without having to go to “log your meals”. If you want to set a budget for the day you have to log foods and then delete. Not user friendly. Also your bar code app does not work well. Thank you. Shoshana

    I love how they break down all the dieting strategies and pitfalls on a human scale! The humour, the supportive coach, and your fellow “Noomers” encourage you and make you feel less alone with the daily ups and downs on the scale and with eating choices. I have learned so much and I do hope it all sticks-(not the weight though). I have lost some weight but the overall gain, (pun intended), is what I take with me on my lifelong quest for health, happiness, and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Thank you to my Coaches, my Group, and Noom!

    That is not hyperbole. I already know about 95% of the information in the course but there is something about the way it is presented that is clicking for me. I feel confident that Noom will be the thing that helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle for life! The app is very, very good. A couple little gripes (because that is what reviews are for, right?) - Groups interface: I’ll get a notification but when I click on it it gives me no indication of where that comment or like is. It runs like Facebook Circa 2009. - Custom recipes: I love that the individual ingredients filter to the Green/Yellow/Red areas instead of the meal being plopped in one of the categories. I hate that I can’t see what is actually in that recipe when I’m trying to add it to my meal log. - Meal Log: For the love of all green food, please add a “copy meal from” feature. I eat a lot of leftovers. This would save soooooo much time. - “Upgrade” to meal plan & fitness plan was disappointing. I was sucked into the “71% off if you buy now!” There is no enhancement to the app itself. I answered a bunch of questions and got a couple 20-page PDFs. Good info, but not what I expected. Overall, however, if you want an excellent app to help you figure out your food issues, look no further.

    I love this program! My favorite is being able to look up your food on the app. It tells you how many calories etc there are. It really helps you monitor what you are eating. There are so many programs that you have to use their shakes and pills. This isn’t one of them. You eat real food. You see the numbers on the scale decreasing and you aren’t starving!
