  • THIS IS NOT FREE

advertised as free, but it isn't until after you fill out information before learning this is a seven day trial and then auto renewal into a monthly payment
  • Stole from me

This app never gave me the option to sign up or NOT sign up for the “premium subscription” it just charged me after i downloaded the app. I feel like this app is predatory, and it also needs to be easier to cancel a subscription after it has been “purchased”. I’m Extremely disappointed.
  • Better Options

Would be 3 stars if not for the constant attempts to get you to try their subscription services. Literally every action you take is interrupted by a window telling you to start a 7 day free trial. Watering prompts are also meant to take into account rain in your area via the in app weather forecast but that doesn’t work either. Otherwise, if you don’t really use it, it does some of what you need from it.

Great at keeping track of the watering schedule and reminders.
  • Not helpful

Basically the only thing this thing does is remind you to water your plants while it is raining.
  • Cool app

This app works great. I wish we could add our own pictures of the progress of our plants.
  • So far so good

Positive: 1. It tells you when to plant for your zone. 2. Reminds you to water. 3. Has a troubleshooting feature, which I haven’t yet used. Needs improvement: 1. Names are different in different places, app needs to take this into account. 2. Some information is missing. Example garlic doesn’t have planting times. 3. While the yearly fee isn’t much, I’ll only use it 3 months a year, so that makes the app a little expensive. Suggestion: 1. A community feature for questions and recipe suggestions and storing extra veggies
  • Disappointed, lost my entire garden

    By Rosie Maloney
Something happened with the app and all of my progress, pictures, and information regarding this year’s garden is gone. All of it. Very disappointed that an app can do that. This was the first year I was able to successfully grow a garden and this app made that happen until now. Very disappointing and frustrating.
  • GrowIt app for my garden

This really helps first time/new vegetable gardeners. It even detects if you have had rain, so it lets you know when to water/ when not to water, when to fertilize, harvest, disease/ insects, and gives hints on how to care without insecticides. It also informs you on how to get and treat seeds and vegetables for growing the next season.
