Reviews

  • The app wants you to leave a review before it’ll let you actually use it which is hilarious.

When your bank preferences every debit with “purchase approved” I’m unable to see who the merchant is to be able to quickly skip it or like it. This should be improved. I’m sure every bank is similar in doing this too and the $1.00 fee is a turnoff. Increase your subscription cost to cover the fee. Don’t take it out of the spare change.
  • The app is unusable unless you rate it.

I’m fairly certain this is against Apple’s Developer Program License Agreement. The app refuses to function unless you leave a rating for it in the App Store. It will not proceed past the initial walkthrough until it sees that you have left a rating. Most apps encourage you to leave a rating, and as such they also encourage you to leave five stars, but seeing as this app does that before even letting you try it, I feel that this is completely disingenuous and unethical. It causes the app’s overall rating on the App Store to be artificially inflated and is spam-like behavior used to create fake “trust”. For this reason alone I am rating 1 star, but the 1-star reviews left by other users are also notable and affirm my decision.

I found ditch through a Facebook add & the entire principle is great, for every single debit card transaction from a coffee to Amazon to getting gas that goes through my card the rounding up to the nearest $1 gets placed into my ditch account and it is automatically sent after a certain dollar amount $30 is sent as payment to whichever credit bill or loan that I need to payoff. This has already been saving me the no stress option to not have to worry about generalized payback payments by me whenever I have a few bucks extra.

Would have loved to use this app one star because I’m disappointed that none of my accounts can link because they’re not eligible to be paid off with a 3rd party app. So for me it’s useless.
