Definitely won't work for any GoPro that came out this century. Save your money!

But no, this app is junk like the majority of reviews said. It pairs and connects (showing the camera’s status and settings) but no preview which is what I need.

Let’s face it, my expectations were low given the reviews, but heck, for $3.99 it was worth a try. It took me a while to figure out how to connect my Hero 5. You have to connect to the WiFi network provided by the GoPro for it to work. Unfortunately, when you attempt to turn on preview the app crashes. I have send the crash info to Apple, and hopefully this problem will be fixed soon. I have not tried changing the settings via the app.

Connecting a Hero 5 to record training training videos of sales presentation and provide folk presentation feedback. App connects and I can control the camera, which is great, but it won't stream video preview to my Macbook Air. Gotta get that fixed folks. Also would love the app in a future version to stream the video files to my hard drive rather than the camera’s micro SD card to eliminate a step in the workflow. Would be very handy

Camera registers but the streaming video doesn’t work. That’s why I wanted it in the first place. Want my money back.

I went on a 3hr off road and started the application, it said it was recording, but when I connected my gopro to my MAC, there was no video, nothing, wasted money, DONT BUY. I know the gopro is working as I use it all the time for making video’s of my off road, but this program did NOTHING. I will use my other program that never lets me down, tried something new, should of known better. Once again DONT BUY.. I wish I could write the owner to let him know how upset Cam

As soon as I hit buy I got a charge of 46.95 from itunes for this. Once loaded I realised it doesn’t seem to support the latest cameras JUNK!

I gave this app 5 stars. Yes it has a lag in the video but so does every other app I have ever tested with a GoPro camera. If there is a GoPro app for phone or Mac that doesn’t lag a few seconds, it is news to me. Once I have set my Macbook Pro to connect to the GoPro wireless the app conects quickly and the menu is super simple and easy to use. In my testing it was quicker and easier to use than the GoPro app I have on the iPhone 6. This app has been rock solid for me, never crashed once. It is a very reliable app and I have found it to be very useful.

the lag is normal.this is NOT a waist of money

The app is almost useless. No it’s completely usless. The iPhone app for free has more features than this. For costing $3.99 and being the top result for “go pro” in the search, I expected to find something like a complete video editor. Instead, what I got after going out to buy an iTunes card, was a scam. There is no way to even access the videos from the go pro through this app. This is the only review I have ever felt obligated to write..
