  • The Music Doesn’t Work Anymore

It use to be the trainer had music that went with there workout. However, after this latest update the voice instructions are the same put now you pick the playlist. The big problem with this is for example my favorite elliptical trainer will constantly say really get inside this tempo, match the tempo, etc. Which is hard to do when you pick your own songs and don’t know what tempo his original songs would have been. I know they most likely won’t change the app back but I wish you still had the option to listen to the playlists the trainers curated.
  • Great App - 1 Suggestion

This is a great motivational workout app, I find myself being more consistent with runs and sticking to a plan with Aaptiv. My only wish is that the developers could figure out a way to turn have an option to turn the volume down on the coaches separately from my selected music. The coach voice comes in really loud but the music is so faint in the background. If there were an option to set the coach volume separately than the music that would make this app perfect!
  • Great alternative to Peloton

I use both but sometimes it’s better to just focus on yourself. I use this with the Wahoo cycling app and sensors for cycling. I love the foam rolling classes, do wish they’d show how to do basic exercises like they do for strength training though.
  • Why did you change the music?

The music no longer matches the workouts. Why make that change?
  • Cancelling is complicated

Can’t cancel they the app and have to send a “request” though the website.
  • New music update is terrible

For people who like music, the new update ruins the app. The workouts used to be timed to the music. Each trainer had a musical style that was unique and you could choose the style you like best. Choosing music separate from the workout makes no sense and is not enjoyable.

This is a great app but the new update has really ruined the audio experience when playing your own music. I wish they would add back the ability to adjust the trainer’s volume independent to your own music.

I use this app everyday and overall I really enjoy it. Love the elliptical workouts, the core workouts, and stretching. I feel like I learn new things and programs everyday which is exciting and keeps it fresh. I do like the “voice only”option that has been added but I wish that option wasn’t so loud. It would be nice to use it to listen to a podcast or audiobook but with the volume of the trainers voice only makes it very difficult. If there’s a way to tune their voice down a little to be able to listen to other things like a podcast, that would be great! Overall, really like this app!

Have had this app longer than almost any other app on my phone. Always keeps me connected to my workouts, no matter where I am. Truly, no excuses. It’s been amazing and I highly suggest making the most of the different trainers and style of classes! Download and enjoy!!

I used Aaptiv a couple years ago and liked the workouts. As others have mentioned, the recent update is horrible. You chose the workout and music genre - they don’t sync together. On an outdoor interval run, the trainer counted down to the next rep and said “let’s go!!” just as music faded out for 20 seconds. 👎🏻
