    Superior podcast app! Hands down..
  • STILL Needs more sorting options

    By Groovel76
I don't know why this is so difficult for podcast apps. Sorting by duration of each podcast seems like such a no-brainer. I listen to a lot of hourly podcasts like weather and news. As a result I like to listen to podcasts from shortest to longest. Lacking that option is a dealbreaker for me.
  • Great, sturdy, easy to use

Overcast is a major step up from the built in Podcasts app. Easy to use, stable, and pleasant. I would love for there to be a more robust system for browsing available titles though. The only downside I would say is that beyond the top titles in each category there’s no real way to find content other than searching by name. Not a big deal as you’re going to find most of your content via other channels and then just come to the app, search, subscribe, download, etc. Overal excellent
  • Ads, buggy, censorship, political

    By David Q. Irwin
    - I paid for this app, now it has ads - With every major “release”, new & obvious bugs are introduced and take months to fix. - Deletes episodes that you already downloaded, if the feed deleted them - Transfers to the watch don’t work - Design is not nearly as good as Apple’s podcasts app - Marco censors podcasts he doesn’t like. What if he hates “The Economist” someday? Should I have to worry about that? I didn’t before, but I do now. - Marco doesn’t respond to any support requests. And if he hears from you on Twitter about it, he blocks you. - Given his level of contempt for many of his users, I feel like Marco would someday doxx people by exposing a list of email addresses of his users who have listening habits he doesn’t approve of. Only a matter of time before he crosses that line. His “private” postings on Slack expose his vitriol.
  • New podcasts will not play

Anything new I try to listen to refuses to play now. I love this app but I can’t listen to anything!

A funcionalidade de cortar os longos espaços é muito legal. E o controle de velocidade então, excelente.
  • Overall excellent

I’m not exactly loyal to any particular platform. I’m constantly looking for any other app better than whatever I’m currently using. Overcast has been the only app I’ve consistently been unable to find anything overall better for my needs. The only complaint I have with Overcast involves CarPlay: there’s no indication of which podcast episodes have been listened to and no indication of which episode is currently playing in the list. These would be incredibly helpful, but they’re really the only problems I have with Overcast.
  • Isn’t pushing now playing to Apple Watch

    Which disables controls, play/pause, skip.
  • Was 5 stars until...

I’ve been using Overcast for quite a while and favored it over other podcast apps. BUT just a few days ago the “episodes” list disappeared from my home screen. There is now just a list of subscribed shows and options to create a queue or a playlist. But what I want and depend is a list of most recent episodes of all my shows. I don’t want to have to check each show individually to see if there is anything new. This is a critical feature when you subscribe to a lot of shows that publish on an erratic schedule. Please fix this or tell me how!
