So I have been using this app for a couple of years now. I use both High School Story and Hollywood U. I love how smoothly it runs, All the choices for character designs, and the extra credit routes that teach new words. But with the character design I wish that it wasn’t only two genders (male and female). I do understand that there are people in the world who don’t believe in other genders but I would love to have the option of making a genderless/gender-fluid character without choosing one gender and still seeing the characteristics that make it the default male or female. Thank you for your time. Keep up the amazing work with this game!!

I really loved this game, I’ve been playing it since it first came out in 2014 and I’m really sad to see it go. I’m really upset that pixelberry just decided one day that choices is more important. Choices probably makes them more money than Hollywood U did. I still play choices every now and again, and my only request is to make a Hollywood U choices story. They did it with HSS! I know it’d make me very happy to see. (Also, I’m pretty annoyed that I made a gem purchase and then immediately after that I was told the quests were over and no longer being updated.)

Please add in offline gameplay. I’m not allowed to use data and I like the game, but I have to stay at my house or a friend’s in order to play it.
  • Game Ends At 57

Pixelberry, you screwed up badly with this game, not that the developers will ever read this review because they abandoned the game. To everyone else, as the title says, the story ends when you reach level 57. The game had a nice enough ending, but I expected more from this game. This game was good, but 2/5 because Pixelberry over exerted their greed. Pixelberry overplayed their hand. They thought they could earn money from their bank accounts that they call players. They either blatantly lied or under delivered. They said A-listers would appear in the main story, unlock new options, and give special quests. Quest*. Most A-listers gave players a SINGLE bonus quest. Few of them appeared in the main story. I spent $12-$15 dollars in this game for premium currency by the time I realized that A-listers were a scam. Then they gave players opportunities to recruit characters that were already your friends into your entourage so you could send them on quests and/or dates. They were for a limited time and I only recruited two, but it was only a ploy to make people spend money on diamonds. Let's be honest here. Also, some quest lines never concluded or received sequels. I was hoping for more quests involving Addison's fashion line, which required diamonds to play. 😠 In 2016, when I stopped playing the game until 2018, the game received little in terms of new content. This is a free to play game. Yet many of the FEW quests released for most of 2016 required diamonds to play. If you aren't playing quests in this game, all you are really doing is collecting money from buildings, which is nothing special when it comes to games like these. This game was fun because of the little bits of story you have to wait 20+ hours for in a rinse and repeat the cycle until you reach the end and then wait until the cycle begins with the quest(s) released next week. It was boring a lot of the time, but the story I played with these characters I enjoyed made up for it. Then Pixelberry stopped releasing content weekly, then stopped releasing free content, then when the game was returning to normal, I lost my will to play. When I returned, I learn that the company pulled the plug. I'll miss this game, strangely enough. Then they went and did the same with High School Story shortly after I started playing both games again. It is another game by the company that I hadn’t played in a while because I lost all faith in the company. With all of that said, thank you Pixelberry for at least giving us an ending before walking away.

I can tell that you guys left this game to fend for itself or you completely forgot about it to work on your more recent game, Choices. However I am as confused as I am disappointed; why did you drop this game when they #1. ALL HAVE THE SAME VOTES IN ROLE PLAYING (4.2) And #2. THEY ALSO HAVE PRETTY HIGH RANKINGS WITHIN THE TOP 150 GAMES IN ROLEPLAYING AS WELL!! Pleas fix Hollywood U and HighSchoolStory. They were my absolute FAVORITE games to play on my free time, however they both seem to be going downhill.

Dear Pixelberry Studios, I am well aware the final update to Hollywood U was a year + ago and have since moved on to new endeavors and projects. But I and several others have experienced problems with seasonal quests... currently Halloween quests not appearing, glitching or requirements for a quest (ex: the haunted dorm) being un purchasable in the store. Which keeps the quest at a standstill, I know Choices is your priority at Pixelberry right now but due to these glitches Hollywood U is frustrating to play for this Halloween season. If I may request even plead for a small update to resolve these glitches I’d be and your loyal player base would be most happy and appreciative. Thank you for your time and happy gaming! Sincerely, Ylisse (Ali) Level 21 Director
