I have a Mid 2012 Mac Book Pro w/ High Sierra, 8GB RAM and a Hero 3+ Silver. The program opens, connects to go pro and the basic controls work; but when I start the video steamer it either reports a problem of a missing file, or it freezes the app. I’m not able to stream anything, which defeats the purpose of me making this purchase!

beware! you must be connected to the gopro's wifi in order to use, which leaves you without internet access if your looking to live stream or use with video chat software. Do yourself a favor and get a capture card.

terrible app

Great app, works as intended. Gave me the option to use my Mac instead of my iPhone. Controls are the same as GoPro’s iPhone app. I like the way it give you links to download the GoPro files directly with using your browser.

I purchased this solely to be able to download files instead of the hassle of finding all the micro card stuff. The camera info correctly shows the number of files on the unit but the sofware shows nothing to select from in the browser window. This software does not allow therefor ANY files to be either viewed or downloaded from my Hero 3 but it will control the camera. Since the only reason I purchased the software was for file downloading via wifi and since this function does not work at all on my Hero 3 I rate it poorly.

Don’t really need this if you’re using a mac, this program is not needed. Simply plug in the SD chip into a SD/MMC/USB holder and insert into a USB port. Quicktime will download the files onto your mac,and you can make most minor adjustments such as horizontal or vertical flips.

So glad I took a chance on this app. Does exacly what I needed it to. The camera browser, and live preview are great. Love being able to adjust the camera settings from within the app. Next step is learning how to do video streaming with it since the GoPro is connected to the wifi I’m not sure how to do video streaming over the internet.

I bought this to download vids from my GoPro camera. It didn’t work.

We have a Hero 3+ and have had so many issues getting it to connect to our iMac’s to be able to simply drag-drop the files unloading. The GoPro Studio software fails to work and while trialing Final Cut Pro (that program is $300)… and I’m not ready to buy that one. My purpose was to be able to unload our GoPro video and images and it did just that and easily. :) SO thanks. For the price of that, fine, as I realize the app is supposed to do other nifty things too that I most likely will never use. The unloading of the GoPro has been a headache until using this software. I cannot figure out how to change the destination folder but that’s very minor.

Not sure what this app actually can do other than control a go pro via wifi. It does not show live preview as advertised.
