Ok, so as a 14 year old teenager who understands why my parents use this, to see what I’m doing on my phone, what I’m browsing, what I’m looking at, WHO I’m texting or calling and etc,. I hate it, I have lost a lot of trust with my parents as I feel like they don’t have trust in me. They downloaded it in the first place because I texted some stupid weird stuff to my friends as a joke, because we all do and that is what is considered as normal now. I no longer am like that and I think it is super cringe but that’s why they downloaded this app. As I looked through other reviews all other teens feel the same way. I am the only kid I know who has this app and it is terrible. It is so bad that my friends have a “safe” group chat without me because they know that my mom sees everything on my phone. It makes me sad and feel distant from my own privacy. I’m not a bad kid I do not drink, smoke, go to party’s, I get very good grades, I got accepted into a premier high school. I just feel like my parents don’t trust me as they said that they used to do some bad stuff as teenagers. Please adults, don’t download this app for the sake of your kids privacy. Hey this review is going to be put into two parts 1st will be about qustodio and the second will be about the devs The app is fine in my opinion (I’m 13 not a mom) I think it’s ok and does its job fine but it’s really overpriced and it makes me angry how much it blocks (I’m sorry to tell you but the only way to delete it is to reset your phone I did this and I’m happy) The devs are the worst people I have ever seen they have no customer service system and they can’t give refunds and if you look at other revenues (maybe even this one) they say the same thing over and over and it pisses me off if you want to reply to a review then actually reply with a human not a bot. Overall 3/10 Because it does its job but there are more options that are better and don’t have bots as devs.

This app is a good, reasonable parental controls device

I am absolutely okay with a app that just monitors my screen time and such. But this app allows my parents to see my search history, watch history, apps I go on, and the app randomly blocks random websites everyday which is just a pain. Overall, after this app I feel even more insecure and just invaded.

This app is stupid parents if u want a trust worthy relationship with ur kids stay away from this junk

This app is so bad I can’t even go on anything and it says that I I’m on stuff that Tim not even on I wish I can rate this app zero stars I’m 15 and my mom acts like I am 5 or something and I have never went on bad sits on my phone she just wants this app to invade my privacy and monitor and control everything I go on like DO IT BUY THIS APP KEEP WRITING REVIEWS GET THIS APP DELETED FOR GOOD

Throughout the time we’ve used this app it has been a pain in the butt for my parents and for me and it’s a total invasion of privacy and everything that means something to me and sometimes my parents, yall reading my messages that I sent privately to my friends, or whoever is it like I said, a total invasion of privacy they should not be allowed. This is the freaking spy software pretty much and like I said, shouldn’t be allowed whatsoever and isn’t helping with any habits. In fact, it just makes them worse because builds gets the stress and it makes the children feel sheltered and not be able to get that wild out sometimes and that’s just gonna get all pent-up and it’s gonna go crazy and don’t say oh we’re sorry have a chat with your parents because that’s not gonna work. Your app is dumb and should not be allowed and frankly should just be illegal fyall.

I believe that this can be a good tool for any guardian or caring person who truly wants to help others, but in the wrong hands, it can be the complete opposite. For me, I hate this app. It restricts me from everything, and I am constantly always being stalked. At any time, I can be doing anything and suddenly lose everything all at the tap of a button. When you have a “guardian” that is power hungry and only wants what is best for themselves, then that is when this app becomes a living nightmare for the person or people on the receiving side of it. It becomes so easy for people to start acting as dictators just because they have power and can control you, which is kind of what’s happened to me. Instead of having a guardian who truly cares for me and loves me, I am gifted one, well 2, who believe that the world revolves around them, which allows them to do whatever they want. “My house, my rules.” “You’re dumb! You don’t know .. [another word for poop]!” “I always know what’s best for you.” “What would you do without me?” Well, if you take a look at some of the things that I’ve been told, you might realize that it sounds like I’m being gaslighted. (When others make you question yourself, in an attempt to make you seem like you are incapable of being reasonable, usually making you believe that they are your only hope.) So, this review is really just a rant of what I feel about this app, but I feel like it also includes a real problem that can plague this app. Final thoughts? A big Thank you to the developers for making a tool that allows adults and guardians to protect children from some of the horrors of the internet today. It’s not y’all’s fault that I’m leaving a 1 star review, but mainly because of the guardians that are responsible for taking care of me. If I had one suggestion, could you make it so that the app also recommends some different courses of action besides controlling everything that someone does online? This app will not teach your kids to be safe. It will make them feel like they’re being watched all the time. It will make your relationship with them worse. It’s also glitchy and frustrating. It makes my wife slow and messes with my battery life. It told my parents I was on Reddit for 3 hours (I wasn’t. I CAN’T EVEN USE MY IPAD FOR 3 HOURS A DAY.) It took every app of my device before a 10 hour flight. It randomly cuts out and takes all your apps, even if you haven’t used all your screen time. You can’t use FaceTime after it cuts out, so if there’s an emergency and my parents aren’t seeing their texts I’m kind of screwed. You can’t text photos after your screen time is up which is really annoying. You also feel like you’re in a box all the time, a glass box where everyone can see you and what you’re doing. It makes you feel like you’re being constantly judged. It makes you feel like you don’t have any control. Is it really so bad for me to have the option turning on my iPad to listen to a podcast if I can’t sleep? And when you try to talk about it with your parents, they just say “Oh well you’re a child.” “It’s not an invasion of privacy it’s ✨supervision✨” “It’s for your own good.” Your child will never learn internet safety like this. That’s like teaching someone how to ride a bike without a bike. Your child will never truly be safe if they’re always unhappy. I honestly feel like parts of my mental health may have worsened with these limits instead of gotten better. This app makes kids feel sheltered, invaded, and powerless. This will not teach your kids internet safety, it will teach them trust issues. I never considered anything like sh before this app. It’s that bad. Don’t get this app.

I get what it’s trying to accomplish but deleting all my apps is not the best way to do it
