PDFExpert is my go to app for any PDF editing, annotation or review. It beats Foxit, Nitro, and PDFGear.

In an effort to open PDF files that I received, this application was purchased. It was a waste of my money, not only did it not open the files it also could not convert. My iMac was hung for 11 hours and I had to shut the application down and use Chrome to open the files.

  • Almost impossible to change FONT SIZE in TEXT EDIT

Followed all of the HELP suggestions. Nothing. Then accisently shrank the FONT SIZE in one text box - don't know how and I couldn't do it again. Used that TEXT BOX to complete the form. Why does it always seem like I am fighting this program rather than using it effectively as a tool. This took all morning to do a form I should have been able to complete in15 minutes.
  • Downgrading my review

Sadly downgrading my review further (5>4>2) because they added another "feature" we can't disable. Now when you drop in another PDF that isn’t EXACTLY the same page size (which is always), you get a pop up prompting you to resize…but that requires a higher price tier. I’m a paying customer, I don’t need constant popups telling me about a more expensive feature my product does not have and I don’t need. It disrupts my workflow. You can’t turn off the notifications. My first review downgrade from 5>4 was because they added a home tab you can’t disable. Unlike every other Mac app, closing a window (command-W) will not close the window. You’re left with a useless home tab you never asked for, and need to close that too. It has never been useful even once. This is otherwise a great program, please don’t ruin it by forcing “features” on users that they don’t want. Having an option in settings to allow users to enable/disable things that pop up where we may not want them would make the program a lot more enjoyable to use for a wider audience.

I was a daily user of Bluebeam, so I was devestated when they announced that they were discontinuing support on Mac. My Mac was acting up, and so I had to do a reboot, and when I did, I lost my Bluebeam forever. I had already been using this for editing PDF's using OCR, and seeing nothing else like Bluebeam, I started using this for all my system designs. I liked the "stamps" feature, which was similar to the Bluebeam icons tool, although about 24% as good. Additionally, there was no way to measure my wire runs anymore. But I've gotten by. Just now, they announced the "measure" tool, so I'm super-stoked! Still missing: 1. A more robust icon, or stamp, system. I would like to see categorizing of stamps, and like Bluebeam, icon sets available and even shared amongst the community of users. 2. Tallying of stamps. I have systems with hundreds of devices. I have to stamp all the icons on there and then go back and number and count them all up manually. Otherwise, the OCR has been great. Most of the time, it even does a decent job of matching the font when editing text. Sometimes it is obviously different, so perhaps needs some work in the font recognition, but still, hadn't seen a better job done elsewhere yet.
