  • Pricing is ridiculous

I really do like the functionality of this app, and how I can use it to track ALL of my various collections. But having to pay for it on the phone, add items, then buy unlimited….just to have to pay an additional $50 a year to use it on my Mac? Super frustrating. Great work on the app, but the pricing scale is just wild. Plus the fact that people HAVE to pay for the iPhone Unlimited version BEFORE they can get the desktop app? What if someone want’s it just on their Mac? Not everyone has an iPhone….

The attraction is: to manage multiple (and multiple types) of collections, barcode reader and auto-details population, values, and works as mobile app AND desktop app w/shared data. All this is true. BUT - for starters, its only useable as mobile app (computer application is only available as a 'pro' user level); interface is clunky and not intuitive, not terribly easy to use. At the 'free' level, abt 15 items per collection are permitted - yr then promted to purchase that collection ($30), or 'unlimited' (all collections, $60). A banner visibly announces its a 1-time fee and NOT a subscription. BUT: purchasing the 'unlimiited' collection access DOES NOT give you "Pro-" level. For that you DO need a subscription. This app/application has TREMENDOUS potential to consolidate collection, make management easy, centralization and access of data. But the pricing and the tiers and the aggravation are just too much.

For what it is the pricing seems to be a little over. I have to buy the full version of an ios app ($30-60 usd) not THAT big of a deal but a little odd. But then on top of that I need a $50/yer subscription to use the mac App? It dosen't make any sence to me. There are cheaper options that suport syncing across iOS and Mac. But from what I've seen the iOS app is white good. I jusst can't justify the cost. If each app was sold sepratlly iOS verion is $30-60 and the Mac version was $30-60 it would make more sence to me. I understand that there's a vary small teem working on this, but I feel a suport subscription would be better. allow us to donate at difrent abouts on a subscrition bassis

I've been using this for about a year and a half. I have both the iOS and MacOS versions, and I have had no problems with data syncing between the two. The app works well on both platforms. The only wishlist item I would request is the ability to use a camera on the mac to add items rather than just the camera on the iOS device.
  • Scheme for becoming "Pro User" is stupid

I need both desktop and app now. I am willing to pay. But apparently I have to add an unspecified number of items via the mobile app to become a desktop user. This is idiotic.

Can't use this app unless you download, install and use the mobile version first which I don't want. I only need the desktop app and don't want all this info on my phone wasting space. To make matters worse, I can't log into the account I created and delete it. I think the company is only collecting email addresses and passwords, probably to sell.
  • Seriously!? I already gave you money.

I paid to unlock unlimited comics and have been using the mobile app for years now. But now I have to pay an extra $50 to be a "Pro user" before I can use the desktop app. Seriously guys!? What other app makes you pay twice for the same app in desktop and mobile formats? I get that you need to pay staff but the nickle and diming really leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
  • Useless without a subscribtion

Stay away from this app. While mobile app is great, desktop version requires paid subscribtion and will not even open without it. Wish I could leave zero stars, bc one star is wayy to many for this scam.
  • Good app, but expensive

This app works pretty good and incudes lots of helpful features but for $50 it does not include a photo editor in-app like the mobile version and I wish it allowed you to upload 6 photos rather than only 4. It would also be handy if you could select multiple items and change a specific value for all of them in one go rather than having to go through every single item whenever I change the storage location of my films. The price is mostly only worth it if you have various different types of collections where it's more convenient to see and organize them on a laptop/desktop vs iPad/iPhone.

I was very attracted to the fact that there was a Mac app to catalog my comic books. Was disappointed to learn that storage is iCloud only. But the reason for the 2 stars is that iCollect Everything doesn't read the full UPC code on my comic books. (They don't read the 5 digit extention on the UPC barcode.) Entering the data was too cumbersome. This drove me to a different product that was half the price for a year's subscription. Entering my comic book data is simpler (faster) and I can backup my data to my local computer. Sadly this company doesn't a Mac based application, but the ease of imput is worth the extra cost.
