  • Cool, but doesn’t work

    It keeps saying to update the app because I’m on an older version, but my iPad can’t support the latest update. Instead of locking me out, let me use an older version

    This app seems to only work on my phone. Constantly buffers (nothing else I use does this; HBO, hulu, etc.) will glitch out and mark things as unwatched and even completely closes itself on occasion. It also likes to frustrate you as your watching a sub version going to the next episode it’ll continue to ask if your sure you want to watch the sub, like, yes, I started here why would I expect anything else. The only reason I’ve kept it so long is because theres hardly anywhere to watch anime legally and in one place. Seeing how I know this is a well known app with a big selection would love some actual care put into the system.

    Since I have an iPhone 6s+, it only updates to iOS 15.8.2. I need iOS 16 to use Crunchyroll app as of this new update they rolled out so I guess I’m out of luck. :/

    I’m just going to pirate whatever I want to watch that would be on here. Paying to watch 15-30 second ads and still can’t get the English dub is incredible stupid.

    If all Crunchyroll apps worked as well as the Apple life would be great. Not sure about Android. Amazon’s app on firetv is god awful. Roku has drastically improved but as far as their app developers, kudos to the iOS team.

  • What has happened to CrunchyRoll

    Back then, when I used to watch CrunchyRoll (about 1-2 years ago), there were only 2-3 ads, and I used to do cartwheels to pass time, but now there’s like 5-8 ads all 30 seconds which is crazy for me. I know I may seem un-patient and of course I’m not gonna do cartwheels for 3-4 minutes straight. But other than that, the app is good.

    I had my account on my tv which I just recently sold, so I tried using it on my iPad. Then I downloaded the app and it said I needed the latest version of the app. I look and see that it can only use models 16 and up (I have a 15.) Sorry I’m broke and am not able to buy a new iPad.

    I used to love this app, but Crunchyroll made the stupid decision to require an iOS version that is just higher than my older iPad can update too. Keep in mind, they are the ONLY treating service to require this. Oh yeah, and now they are increasing there monthly fee. So I am supposed to pay more for less access. I am almost done catching up on a show, then I plan to cancel. I can’t pay for a service that I can’t watch on my iPad.
