I relied on CNBC to keep tabs of all my investments. Lately,I noticed that the mutual fund info do not get updated; keep seeing the previous day’s closing value. I even updated my app but still the same. What’s going on?

They show a 100 to -100 scale. No lines. Graphs are busted.

Does any Developer or SQA test this app before it’s released? How is it that not only this update but the previous doesn’t work at all with Apple Carplay? As soon as you touch the icon to launch it simply crashes. Maybe they are waiting for AI to test!!!!
  • Investing Club Morning Meeting

I have been a member of the Investing Club since it started. I used to receive daily reminders for the morning meeting but over the course of the last week, I stopped receiving the notifications. I have also not been able to view the live meetings in the app since 4/16/2024. Now when I view the morning meeting page in the app, instead of having the link for the current morning meeting at the top of the page, there is the video from Wednesday, 4/17/2024. If you scroll down the page to view older meetings, you will see Thursday, 4/18/2024 followed by the Wednesday meeting again. There is no way for me to report the issue in the app so I am leaving this here with the hopes that it will get escalated. I was finally able to watch the morning meeting from my iPad on CNBC.com. When trying to access the website on my phone, it kept redirecting me to the app.

New version 5.48.0 released today still doesn’t work with Apple CarPlay. Maybe they should talk to the Bloomberg programmers to see how to do it. Edited to add: Yes, I did report this to Customer Care at CNBC through the app so they have all the details-twice.
  • A few big problems

    1. CarPlay app won’t laundch 2. CarPlay app won’t auto assume if there is an alarm, a text played or send, or a call. Everything stops afterwards and I would have to go to my phone to restart the app. Basically CarPlay app is an F 3. Video don’t have PIP anymore. It used to and was helpful because I can do something else at the same time but now anymore 4. Long delays in live videos and audios. The delays is like 1 minute or more. So for real live updates it’s delayed. You can’t really use it to do any serious trading. 5. Jim Cramer in the morning and afternoon is too much. I simply skip over his segments. I can’t listen to him talking about anything without sounding like he knows it all. Very bad. 6. It’s time CNBC get some new serious people on to report on the business of the world. Have some schedule to talk about important topics in a week. If you don’t have any plans then the channel is just gossips

Your app only wants me to pay for important information that should be available to all people not just the rich that pay.
  • Propaganda and misinformation

Fake news articles on this app offer propaganda and false information instead of news. The deliberate nature of this deception is eminently exemplified by the lack of any mechanism whatsoever to report verifiably false information.

One time CNBC brought the world of Wall Street to you with breaking news alerts, watchlists, global market data. Now it’s notices that more often are for subscriber content. The content of which is to get you to buy some other subscriptions. Having once been a subscriber it was not worth the money. So I accept a reasonable amount of ads. But even then it’s mostly garbage or offered content for a price. Someone at CNBC has overestimated the value of the app content.
