They just want $$$&&&&&

Getting a better understanding of a passage is the greatest tool for interpretation, and application.

Devoid of quite a few words and offers little as definitions for many words, but overall could be a nice dictionary if they didn’t constantly impede you to make you pay them. Every time you look up a word it forces you to sit through a timed ad that is ALWAYS made in a deceptive way to try and make you click it by accident. There’s no way to skip these ads as you have to wait through a 10 second timer before a skip option even appears, then you can finally see the results of the word you searched. Everytime you search something it does this. Of course you can have the ads removed for the low price of a subscription! Not to mention the words that are locked behind a paywall. Seriously piss off

The games make learning and knowing fun

I like Merriam-Webster out of all the dictionary apps bc I the makers of the app and website know a lot more than just word definition-word history, word roots, how the word relates to culture, etc. For example, today's word of the day is palimpsest, and MW has a blurb explaining how writing surfaces used to be valuable, hence they would reuse them. Other dictionary apps have the definition of palimpsest, but none of them teach you WHY that word is important. I'm using MW to study for standardized testing, and it's been invaluable for learning words and vocabulary, would recommend over other apps

My dumb self didn’t know half of those abbreviations I’M LITERALLY A TEEN HOW DO I NOT KNOW THEM- anyway good app it’s a dictionary not sure how one could rate it bad?

I guess they want you to pay for the $10 premium version.

Would generally consider myself a fan of merriam-webster but this app is miserably full of ads and pay walls.

Unsure why to buy premium. This app rocks.

You can’t use the app without allowing tracking. I couldn’t even test the app before it put of a roadblock requiring tracking.
